Aftermarket Brake Kits / Brembo Retrofit Cupra

Hi guys

I am hoping someone here can help; does anyone know the cost of getting the performance pack brake kit retrofitted on a Cupra 280? Or does anyone know of any aftermarket kits?

I looked around and couldn't really find anything for the newest models but want to upgrade. I had a big brake kit on my previous cars and kind of regret not getting the option this time, I have found the stock brakes to be a little 'soft' so would like something with a little more bite.

Similarly, the stock pads produce a ridiculous amount of dust so does anyone know of any decent replacements? No EBC RedStuff available yet apparently...

Many thanks

Pete

There is loads of options out there, any that fit the MK2 will fit the MK3.

Ive got Ferrari F40 calipers, 370mm 2 piece disks.

Thanks guys.

Good to know that Mk2 kits will fit the Mk3, they're pretty easy to find compared to Mk3 specific kits.

Anyone know how much Seat would charge for a Sub8 retrofit? I think it was about £3k as an option new so I doubt it'll be more affordable than an aftermarket equivalent. Might contact my local garage and enquire...

I doubt it will be viable cost wise to retro fit the cost saving are made because they dont have to fit the original parts having to buy it all and be left with the used parts of which the resale value will suck because nobody has a need for mk3 cupra stock brakes etc.

The Michelin cup sport 2 tyres with those brembo's though transform the car, so worth an enquiry.

Andrew did you buy yours as a kit? If so where from?

I think they are brembos.

If it was me, id either fork out for the vwr ones or if they were too much id get the alcon ones from revo.

https://www.revotechnik.com/product...55-x-28mm-mono4-big-brake-kit-for-mqb-chassis

and if you really wanna push the boat out you can spend about 3k on the APR brembo ones http://www.goapr.co.uk/products/brembo.html

that's a tuning upgrades you can buy for that price tho, id rather buy a bigger turbo tbh :)

Yer very true, I don't have a massive problem with the standard brakes, just think they need better pads, and lines, but kinda want the bigger brakes

Would these fit under the standard wheels though? I had a nose at a Cupra in the dealers recently, it had the sub 8 pack fitted, and the caliper sits VERY close to the fitted rims..... :D

Thanks everyone for your help; definitely some interesting options for me to look at!
Prices rack up pretty quick so I was thinking I might upgrade bit by bit?

Braided lines and new pads first, then maybe slotted+/drilled rotors, see how that feels before I dive into new calipers.

Anyone know a decent place to get braided lines? Would I be right in guessing lines marketed for Mk2 would fit Mk3?
