are you looking at the SC version or 5 door version?

i picked mine up..SC version, on saturday and i rather like it! main difference between the 2 versions is about 5litres boot space, 5door version is about £500 more, and in the SC you loose abit of height and leg room in the back. not been in the back of mine yet tbh so cant comment!!test drove the 5door version though, and both my parents fitted comfortably in the back so that one is definitely roomy.

as for the style of the interior its the same as any ibiza, just not customisable. the seats and everything you see in the brochure is what you get. (you can add mats etc if you like)

i managed to blag free mats and tank of petrol for mine, and with part exchange feel i got a really good deal - about £4,500 off list price - paid the 400quid for metallic paint.

one thing to watch, yes you get a usb/aux port, but you dont get anything to connect your ipod/mp3 player up with, which it doesnt state under the 'chill' version - costs ya 80quidish, which is abit annoying! also, you may get the 'chill' badge, you may not!they use it as an advertising ploy but i dont think all models have it..certainly mine doesnt.

hope that helps!

also...i'd act sooner rather than later, as its a special edition and they've only made so many. my dealer had 2 at the port and 2 on a ferry when i ordered it (2weeks ago). also, if its not registered AND delivered before 31st march, you gotta pay the VAT, its one of those you either get it or ya dont things!

I got a 5 door chill back in January on the vat free deal. Cost me 10,800 on the road. Got a good trade in for my Leon so was really happy with the deal. I would have got a 3 door but for the same reasons as the other poster, rear room and access. I've got a 3 year old so it would have been a pain. Also I took the non metallic paint option. I wasn't going to pay 400 for metallic paint when the car was already built and in a UK port.
I didn't get the chill badge but then i'm not bothered about that. All seats now have carpet mats as standard with studs on the floor to locate them. Only extra I have bought is the Ipod cradle. I got it off of ebay for 60 new for the proper Seat one, works a treat.
Overall, the chill is a really good option over the SE since you get Bluetooth, Folding mirrors, Climate control, Tomtom dock and Better 16" alloys for your extra cash.
My only gripe is the steering wheel and gear lever are plastic. On my leon (which was a stylance, SE in other words) these were leather. I'm gonna get hold of an upgrade wheel and lever, probably form a sport model. Seat want 175 + fitting for the alcantara wheel and 65 + fitting for one of their sport gear knobs. Will source and fit myself.

i wasnt bothered about the rear seat space..very very rare i ever have someone in there!

i havent had much in my boot, but there are a few videos online somewhere, and it comfortably takes a couple of suit cases, and fifth gear did a (rather stupid) test, whereby they filled a new fiesta boot with toilet roll and then the ibiza, and the ibiza swallowed about another 3 or 4 big size (12 pack?!) packs of toilet roll in comparison.unless your buying shopping to cater for a whole county i dont think you'd really struggle!

Have to say I test drove the 5 door Chill and I was very impressed with the room in the back. There was a definate possability of buying the 5 door, as the styling is great, but the 3 door just swung it.
Although my wife will soon be selling her Clio Ripcurl, so we may have another Ibiza on the way if there's another deal on the cards. I agree that the steering wheel/gear knob is a little disappointing.

Can't think of any other new car for £9500 that I'd rather be driving to be honest.

Well she wants a white  but appaerntly there all out of stock, and the only options are red, black or grey

Grey is not the best colour, her last two cars were red and now whats a change, and i will be cleaning it so dont want another black one to try and keep clean

You can get loads in the boot of the 5dr, i moved house using mine and the only thing that didn't fit was a wardrobe and a double mattress.

In real life terms you can easily get a months shopping in the boot, or a 5man tent and clothes for a week camping for two.

I have to agree 100%. I also have a (3dr) SE Ibza and the hard plastic steering wheel and gear knob are disappointing. Would have thought at SE level they could have put better quality ones as standard. I will also replace at some point!

I agree too. The steering wheel in the TSi is very nice leather jobbie, but the gear knob's nowt to write home about. I've seen some great ones on the Hidsons website.
