acceleration hesitant

yeah sorry, should of really put it in paragraphs, im not saying that these things are the problem, i am just outlining the common problems that come into our workshop that can cause hesitant acceleration,(im a qualified Volkswagen/Seat/Audi/Skoda Motor Technician.)

Anyone heard of that 99RON petrol they do at Tesco haha rocket fuel!

Hopefully getting mine chipped this weekend with a performance dump valve, hopefully looking at 275bhp cross fingers. £300 quid altogether bargain!

Disconnected MAF, problem gone!

What happens if I leave it disconected and I don't replace the MAF?

OK sounds like the temp sensor is next then....by any chance,would this cause the smell of petrol to waft through my vents? i've noticed this recently getting worse, but it kinda smells like gone off petrol?????

To be honest I'm really not sure that everyone is getting the same problem but symptoms can be very similar.

Lorne - did you try running without the MAF?

Alex - I assume the adaption values for the trottle body could be reset with Vag com?

Do you know anyone with a similar car that you could try their MAF?

Common fault and you can get a new (reconditioned) MAF for around £65.
