Not a fan of the LCR wheels ... wouldnt be 'sleeper' enough for me plus 18's dont handle as well imho.

Good work that's well polished! Did mine when I got it - 2 layers of Autoglym resin super polish basecoat followed up by an ultra deep shine finish... and now it takes 10 minutes to clean
The leather is my favourite part of the car... despite the car having done 75k miles it still looks like new. I spent several hours cleaning and conditioning the leather after buying it two weeks ago and has made a huge difference
I'm glad I held out for leather ... not a fan of the cloth on these cars.
Any pointers on what to do regarding leather conditioning? Mine's on 88k and the leather is still looking good, not super new but so much nicer than the cloth. I'm looking for ideas on how to keep it fresh....I've already banned the sweaty football lot from using it as a taxi!

Nearly let her go as was offered a good price for her but I just enjoy driving it so much ... it helps that I don't drive as much as I used to anymore as I use the motorbike for the commute and the Wife's Fabia vRS for longer journeys so the Cupra is just toy more than anything but make an effort to use it once a week.
It's been the most reliable car I've ever owned so have a few small bits planned to 'modernise' her a little more ...

New Mirrors fitted... not sure about the silver yet ... have spare covers that I can paint black anyway...

All done ... except the TIP ... waiting on one to come up at right price.
Unfortunately the headlight covers are now dead... I lost one in Wales at the weekend and I have since found out they are discontinued.
Good news is that I've ordered a vogtland sports suspension kit ... not well known over here but massive in the states and is TUV approved.
Started to plan some engine detailing too...
Nice car, but I don't get the 'sleeper' bit
A sleeper/Q-car is a totally normal and boring looking car/shed, which has been souped up to outperform most on the road.
This comes from the original idea from WW2 of British Navy 'normal looking' merchant ships, hunting for subs and looking all vulnerable, and then when they found one, they'd drop the normal/boring sides, revealing high powered weapons, which would be used against the enemy.
In the same way, a true sleeper on the road has to be standard and boring looking, i.e. not looking like it can shift at all, then it really surprises you by leaving you in the dust!
There was a transit van on Top Gear like this once, American bootleggers who built sleeper hot-rods did, and some other people have built true sleepers since, but not many.
Your Leon is anything but 'boring and slow looking' - it has a private reg, uprated wheels, a tuning sticker in the rear window, debadged, carbon detailing on the outside, gleaming polish/shine, uprated exhaust, etc, etc....so it's no sleeper, but it is a nice Leon

More work done ...
Replaced the rocker cover, camchain gasket at long last!
One of the PCV hoses broke so this has been repaired and a new one ordered. I also cleaned the throttle body and did the adaption. Last done over 30k miles ago... no oil in it this time so the PCV system is working properly now!
Engine bay was then given a decent clean:
(coolant tank to be replaced)
Installed a Powerflex DB mount ... vibey at the moment but to be expected until it bed's in...
Suspension kit sat in my garage waiting to go on... but until I sort some new top mounts it will have to wait as I've got a 10-12mm gap both sides now. It looks like will just order OE versions from the dealer as sick of waiting for the lowering type from Maxxtune.
Currently looking at buying the uprated SMIC to help with summer temps as the car is never going to go above 240bhp realistically so for stage 2 KO3S will be sufficient.
All new boost hoses are now sat on my desk from Creation Motorsports... TIP nearly sorted as well.

Sorry missed this ... I agree its not really a sleeper anymore but I won't be changing how the car 'looks' hence the sleeper comment... I like how it looks 'classy' but sporty without coming across as a boy racer... being over 30 now and not getting younger I want to be able to turn up to work meetings in it without being seen as a boy racer / chav...
