Well I should have had my R32 wheels and winter tyres on this week, which would have been great what with all the snow we've had lately. Wheels were meant to get tyres at the place that refurbed them but that didn't work out so I got them back bare last week. I ordered tyres from Camskill at the start of last week and Citylink managed to only deliver 3 of them. Cheers Sh!ttyLink. So the plan to get the new wheels and tyres on last weekend had to wait, hopefully this Saturday, just in time for the snow to disappear.

They actually look a bit darker than that in the flesh, that one was sitting right under the light in the garage, in front of the window so should look a bit better on the car.
This evening I fixed something that's been bugging me ever since I got the car. The handbrake light on the dash has never worked. Rather, the light works cos it comes on when you start the car, it just didn't come on when the handbrake was on. Loosened up the lower center console and lifted it up enough to get my hand in about and turned out the cable for the switch under the lever was disconnected for some reason...
Sorted now, thanks Craig for the tip. Sometimes it's the small things that please me

Cheers guys, pics tomorrow hopefully. It's a nice finish, sort of satin-like, that was the finish I wanted on my LCR wheels instead of the glossier one I got. The colour on the LCR wheels is darker than the '32 ones though. If I could have both sets in the LCR wheel colour with the R32 wheel finish they'd all be perfect, oh well
So am I. Got tyres fitted yesterday, trial fitted one wheel on the front and it fouls on the Brembo caliper. Guess I'll need some spacers, was hoping to avoid that but hey ho. I'll be getting 4 the same size (10mm should cover it) so want ones that fit the rear hubs OK, I know a lot of spacers don't.
Annoying thing is, I had two sets of 15mm spacers a while ago but changed my mind on fitting them and sold them!
Had the car on a decent run today to see some friends and it felt a bit sluggish. Not sure why, can't see anything wrong in the engine bay and no fault codes. Brakes weren't unusually hot when I parked up so no sticking pistons I don't think. Pretty cold here today, usually it feels very quick and responsive when the weather is like that. Chased a 2.0T Audi A3 off a roundabout on the way home and couldn't catch it, guess his must not be standard either but was surprised at that.
Hopefully getting logged next weekend, should give some idea what's up.
OK so ordered two pairs of H&R 10mm spacers. Ronin has these on his rear axle so fairly safe bet they'll fit mine as his is a 55-plate car too and I gather it was later LCRs that have longer rear hub lips. Pretty sure I only need a few mm as a minimum to get the R32 wheels over the Brembos so fingers crossed I'll be rocking R32 wheels with winter tyres in time for summer
No idea what was up with her on Sunday but last night I re-applied the Revo settings (boost 5, timing 4) and took her for a spin, seemed much better, much more like she usually is, i.e. responsive and fast.

You won't regret the H&R spacers. Pricey but very good in my opinion.
That's interesting regarding the Revo settings. Do you think the settings got messed up somehow? Can't see how but who knows

Yeah, would have to be the expensive ones that fit eh!
I use the anti-theft feature of the SPS switch on my car if I'm parked up overnight, been a lot of car thefts in North East Scotland lately, could be switching that off and on a lot caused the settings to go back to defaults. Shouldn't do, not sure if it's even possible. I should maybe have taken the car for a run before re-applying the settings to be sure.I'll try and remember mate. The website says they're a magnesium alloy so theoretically they should be fairly light. That was part of the reason I wanted to use as thin spacers as possible, another being that the smaller the spacer the less extra shear forces apply to the bolts and less potential for wear on the bearings.

That bit you removed is the bit that has a sort of bevel at the end nearest the hub doesn't it? That's what makes it not fit certain spacers if I understand right.How did you remove it?
