awesomeness... only up the road from u anyway :D

so what would you rate better 888 or r1r's? u have had both havnt you pov?

Only had the R1R's. Was gonna get R888's originally, but then once the R1R's were released decided that they would work better for me.

Have read by members that in bad rain and standing water the R888's can be scary to drive with. Redline had a short writeup on their experience with R888's on public roads in the rain the other day and they said it was scary, so it seems like the R1R's are the perfect compromise between say a top performing summer tyre and the R888's.

Im sure I will get to experience the R888's in someone else motor at some point this summer though. Will let DanGB have a play in mine to compare to his trackday tyres although it might be hard to compare as his car is loaded chassis wise.

Now all we need to know is how long they will last really.

how much each mate?

160 each from camskill.

What tyre pressures you running Pov? Just checked mine and the tyre people put in 37psi!! That won't help.... Put 32psi in and will try again

No idea, havent checked since the tyre fitters did em, but I would like to think they know what they are doing as they fit track day tyres pretty much every other day, albeit they specialise in yokohamas.

Wow,waited all day for the roads to dry out, still only 6 degrees and greasy but when the tyres warmed up boy do they grip! No wheelspin in 2nd gear now, just a HUGE surge of acceleration and weavy light feeling!!! Can't wait for warmer weather to see what they're like in 1st..........

I run 888's on my subaru and can say they are excellent (just watch out for standing water though) I swapped them for uniroyal rainsport 2 because they had a good write up but I've found the 888's to be better most of the time. The rainsports don't like greasy conditions but the 888's are fine with greasy surfaces. Damp conditions I had more confidence in the 888's
