Next up; an FR grille and black mirror caps. Has anyone had black mirror caps put on? I went upto the dealers t'other day and I was quoted £40 for a set of caps and £40 to paint them gloss black...

Yeah i bought mine from Sere Motors on here.

Took me a while to get the white caps off but after a lot of tugging i got them off. Put the black ones, first one was easy as pie but driver side wouldn't lock in, plastic thing snapped but eventually got it on and they are still on so must be fine lol.

Honestly, I just hope i don't have to do them again!

David at Sere will do you FR black ones for £35 i belive, double check that though. No point in buying primed ones to then pay MORE for paint.

Gorgeous car! I have a Sport 5 dr also in Candy White and I LOVE it! I moved up from a 58 plate Corsa 1.2 and the difference in the engine is amazing! Makes me smile every time I put my foot down and she actually moves!

I bought a pair factory painted in black from SERE motors for £40, easy to fit yourself so that's £40 saved for you

Wow, a lot has happened since I last updated this thread.

The Candy White went not long after for another 1.4 Ibiza about a year later so I've been driving about in an Emocion Red since then, complete with the black Saga alloys and mirror caps. However... today I have placed an order on a brand new Ibiza...

It was quite lucky really, they had literally only received it in a couple of days ago so thought why not, I'll just have that one.

I took it for a spin and it's a completely different drive to the standard 1.4, a lot more nippier but not too powerful to absolutely kill me on insurance. So I pick it up on Tuesday all being well...

I haven't really been browsing the forum much since the facelift was released, so is there any must-do mods on this particular model?

I picked it up on Tuesday gone and I've got to say, I love it. Although it's only a 1.2, the difference between it and the older 1.4 lump is massive - no more struggling up big hills!!

No big mods so far, all I've had the chance to do is change the sidelights and the dipped lights to the Ultra bulbs...

EDIT: Look at that arch gap on the second pic!
