the 3 door looks stunning, Leons have always been 5 door, and it looks remarkably like a scirocco, i wonder if a new model is on the cards

Photo-chop, lots of recognisable IBE bits on it from SEAT's press photos. Proportionally scaled wrong too.

But a Leon SC is what I am expecting, whether as a prototype or as a pre-production model ahead of a summer/autumn european launch.

Rumours today too that SEAT are looking at new markets, selling in China and Russia.

Do you expect the Leon SC so early before its due relese date, or will they show some sort of saloon to give closer hints as to what the new family of SEAT's will look like????

Depends if they prototype it at Geneva, but they need to sex up the brand sooner rather than later. If its not a pre-production model then I'll extend my estimates to Euro launch Spring 2012.

SEAT are now head first into their 5 year, make or break VAG ultimatum if the reports were to be believed.

2011 needs to be used to say hello look what we are building, a focusing of the range, with new exciting affordable models.

A green possibly all electric or hybrid City car, but electric/hybrids won't take off overnight, they are becoming more attractive but batteries still suck. A Leon SC could be an exciting new brand icon, sporty but also with eco credentials as well as sportier variants.

The IBE was well received, but showed future technology that isn't yet going to mainstream affordable, but the shooting brake design is gorgeous and a new Leon is definitely a viable platform.

Saying that the 3 door is looking like a scirocco isn't a bad thing! :D

Also i'm thinking that this might be VAG's last throw of the dice to try make SEAT more mass appealing and alot more profitable.

The new ibiza and FL Leon are doing a good job but are still very short on offering variety to keep people brand loyal.

Just look at the variety that VW, Audi (both the same i know) BMW and Merc offer.

Last thing! one of the main reasons maybe because from my experience is that the dealers are crap and know sod all about customer service. I own a restaurant and if i treated my customers like i've been treated at times i'd cut my hands off! :wtf:

I believe new SEAT models, incl. Leon will be extremely futuristis\modern as to say.. tough times for spanish guys, they need to attract more buyers - that's the solution. As it is now people are eager to buy very "confindent in design" cars like skoda or classic vw... so seat should create smth really outstanding to beat them all.
I like new look descibed above! hope it to be same in reality in some years.
