1.9 tdi front discs

Bought a brand new set of front and rear discs and pads for my 05 1.9tdi stylance, started fitting today, rears all done before lunch, but when box opened for fronts the discs were only 280mm and the pads all had three pronged clips attached. My discs are 288mm and only the inboard fronts have the three pronged clips which push into the hollow piston. I've seen loads of threads etc which say the 2.0 tdi has 288mm front discs, but my 1.9 has them, anyone else had this ? Another trip back to supplier in the morning to get them changed.
Just for info if anyone is doing disc changes, the torx screw in the disc is a T30, but if it's corroded in place be careful as it's easy to damage.

if it is damaged the only way is to drill the head off it. the screw is not needed as the 5 wheelbolts will hold the disc in place. disc sizes are done by PR number and not engine/model of car. giving the VIN number over the counter should help is the seller has ETKA.

My parts place has ETKA and took my reg, but was assuming only 2.0ltr tdi's had 288mm front discs, they were very apologetic and replaced them straight away.

Mine is a 1.9tdi toledo with 288 discs, says it should have 280mm with standard 16" wheels from factory, but not the case obviously.
