warm it up to somewhere near safely useable but not so hot the fans come on and cool it off mind as that's when the heat 'soaks' in but lift bonnet and push it in the Queue instead will be better

not agreeing or disagreeing with this as i've turned mine off in queue before. i cannot remember who (may of been the wise Viking) said that you should keep the engine running. reason being when the engine is off the coolant isn't being pumped around the engine. (i understand the lcr has a turbo cooling pump when the engine is off, does it pump to engine aswell?)

makes sense as coolant would bring the temp down quicker than turning it off would it not? obviously to a certain degree, as the OP will be stop starting 10+times in a queue.

I think if you've been there a while and the engine has cooled down a bit then it's not so bad not to leave it running. I suppose the heatsoak only really kicks in excessively when you're on boost. Bit of a catch 22, as I guess you need oil pressure/temp up and running to stop any failures.

With respect to the ECU comment above, I was under the impression that as the ECU builds up 'parameter' it can cause the car to slow down (there are some threads on this quite some years back - circa 2003/4, where cars were running far better when they weren't having to account for the build up of data on the ECU). Knowledge improves and things evolve, so I stand to be corrected, but from what I have read / am lead to believe it should be the case.

Blipping throttle on an up-change isn't necessary as the next gear will be spinning more slowly. It's on a down-change that you need to do this...

as far as pushing it to the line i dont want to look like im running big power the limp up then track haha
i can understand big power cars doing that mind

Civic is going to beat the ibiza and the leon, its just a hundred times easier to put the power down, and thats what its all about over a quarter of a mile. It doesnt really matter about torque and turbos over that distance if it was a rolling start, then the civic would lose obviously. I think if the turbo cars get a perfect launch then it will be close but still wont beat the civic especially the championship edition one ure racing.

I totally disagree with this approach unless you have enough time/miles to get a decent level of high power adaption before your 1/4 run (100 miles or so).

As I disconnect my battery each week on a Sunday night and then reconnect the next Saturday because it goes flat otherwise, I can tell you 100% that it runs crap until adaption has made the difference and knows that beans are your flavour. I could not out run a tractor in the first 20 miles on a Saturday.

Maybe its just a Revo thing though

optimax & octane booster is that possible, i know the dirty dervs do it with millers ,
