i think i have slatted grills up the loft somewhere, unless i sold them with the ibiza as spares. will have a look soon for you
Are yours not black. Might just order two new ones. I'm not feeling the honeycombs anymore.

nope the spares i had were anthrecite colour, these are brand new if i still have them, i never fitted them, they were an order mistake and i didt return them
Really like it mate
Id stick with the honeycombs bud it looks better
Well let me know if you've still got them. Would be ideal. I'm sound deadening the doors this week if you want a look at how it's done
Its going well mate i have 1 lined up, if all goes to plan i should have it friday. Im also trying to get a trailor just now as ive found a donor car for the engine i need but its in west lothians and my mates trailor is on hire untill next sunday. Im moving away from the seat fold mate but staying vag
Did you go for a stealth engine bay never seen any pics from under the bonnet?
how much sound deadening you got? is it expensive stuff?
haha how did you guess it was a vr6 well since you know that part i will keep you in suspense as to what it goes into as im not 100% im getting it on friday, basically im waiting on him doing a deal with a boy from his work in the mean time its the bus to work for me
I understand what your saying about the engine bud i guess ill need to come and see it in person then haha
let us know how you get on with the sound deadening and if it makes any difference. I remember you saying you had done quite a lot of other areas of the car so it's interesting to see how the outcome is.
I'm not really expecting the doors to make a huge difference. Should make them close with more of a thud than a rattle. I'm really only doing it because I need to fix the lock microswitch. So makes sense while I'm in there.
Doing the boot makes a big difference to road noise
Cool, i did it the cheapo way with some loft insulation in the doors of my old mk4 and it made them close with a nice solid thud and stopped the rattles but not much more tbh. What stuff is it that your using? Dynamat stuff seems really expensive.
It's just eBay stuff. Any of the bitumen types are pretty good. Dynamite is the bitumen type but because it has a name it's expensive. I'm not looking for sound quality audio or anything just dampening road noise and squeaks and the like.
you still fed up with the honeycomb?? more than happy to swap you for my slatted ones garry
