Well let me know if you've still got them. Would be ideal. I'm sound deadening the doors this week if you want a look at how it's done

The engine is crinkle black with yellow hoses. I've deliberately not put pictures of it up. I have a few bits that I don't really want available to everyone lol.

It might sound a bit ignorant but a lot of research and trial and error went into some of the bits and I'm not really wanting loads of copies appearing.

So a vr6 into what then

Seen you mention a vr6 before. One of my mates has a vr6 mk2 golf. It's not the quickest but it sounds awesome and it's certainly not what you would call slow

Aye if your down this way, batter in. Or have a look at national day

let us know how you get on with the sound deadening and if it makes any difference. I remember you saying you had done quite a lot of other areas of the car so it's interesting to see how the outcome is.

I'm not really expecting the doors to make a huge difference. Should make them close with more of a thud than a rattle. I'm really only doing it because I need to fix the lock microswitch. So makes sense while I'm in there.

Doing the boot makes a big difference to road noise

Cool, i did it the cheapo way with some loft insulation in the doors of my old mk4 and it made them close with a nice solid thud and stopped the rattles but not much more tbh. What stuff is it that your using? Dynamat stuff seems really expensive.

It's just eBay stuff. Any of the bitumen types are pretty good. Dynamite is the bitumen type but because it has a name it's expensive. I'm not looking for sound quality audio or anything just dampening road noise and squeaks and the like.

You got a link for any of the stuff you used? There quite a few types.
