We've always found that they work better with the VAG 1.8T's. Very simple to fit and no need for adjustment to get them right, just pick the correct spring and away you go.

If you bypass the N249 valve you will get a little noise from the 007P. I had one and changed to a turbosmart dual port and now wish I hadn't. 1.8T's are supposed to have recirculating DV's... the Split-R will work no doubt, as does my dual port, I just had more peace of mind with the 007P knowing its 100% recirc.

Thanks for the replies guys appreciate it

I'm not familier with modding a car so don't know what a N249 is I'm afraid

Is the splitter not noisier then the 007 & the splitter you don't have to service do you?

Kev how's does yours differ? Not heard of that one?

ive got a spltr on mine. it louidish up to 3k revs, after that its silent. Seems sharp when letting off throttle and reacts well, but i cant compare it tothe 007p as ive not used it.

thanks for the replies everyone - poll currently stands at 5-2 in favour of the 007

as i've not really done much to the car myself i'm swaying towards the 007 as it's easier but not sure i should sacrifice the right valve just for that reason?

anyone else got pros and cons??
