Yes it is!

Search Forge 007 dv plenty of info will pop up. A few options around dv wise. Gets talked about everyother day.

Replaces the exsisting plastic valve with a metal one, get a nice quite sound too. :D
Keep a eye out in the "for-sale" section

Not worth it if your after any extra nopise as it wont happen. Change only to hold boost better and for reliability.

Some say you get more noise, but others don't. I did but then I got my CAI fitted at the same time so it was probably more down to that than the DV.

I'd say it's worthwhile though, if only for peace of mind, esp if you're planning on upping the power at any point.

does anyone have any sound clips of the sound or vids where i could hear the sound?

Because it's a Re-Circ valve you tehnically don't get any dump sound.

What you get is the sound of the air being dumped back into the intake system.

As has been said if you're running the std airbox then you won't notice a major difference.

If / when you get a CAI or Induction Kit, then you will hear the sound more.

If you're after the "Jap dump valve sound" then have a look at the Forge Split-R, as this is a partial BOV valve.

(An if you're rich the HKS SSQV does have a Re-Circ option available, but you're lookin at ~ £250 for that option.

Definitely worth fitting. Better quality, lasts longer, can be serviced and holds more boost than the stock one. Plus, not being an atmospheric 'whooshy' valve, you don't sound like a Chav ******, which is always a bonus :D

yes worth it if you are remapped. Although in operatio there is nothing wrong with the standard bosch units, the only downside is their reliability, thats why owners uprate them to forge and the like. Also the fact you can alter the spring if you need to on the forge units.

Yes and no....

Their reliability is the problem, you're right there, but that's why they are no good in operation. They can't reliably hold boost, even on standard cars, so it's their reliability that makes them no good in operation. If you see what I mean?
