coilovers about 7-800 fitted, remap 260 bhp, 280lbs torque 500 quid, blueflame turbo back exhaust 5-600, bailey dv30 dump valve 90 quid. thats the expensive things out the way for 2 grand and you just add bits at time when you have some spare cash. thats the handling sorted and looks and enough power to be going on with, you can always add an intercooler, arb's etc later. you'll be a very happy man when you get your car mate.

Just to add some more ideas mate, try looking for some parts second hand, especially the FMIC, and induction as theyre fitted to a lot of other cars with 1.8T engines, including Golf's, Audi's, Skoda's and modified dubs.

Brilliant advice guys. Really appreciate it!!!

Im so excited now its mad, hoping to buy the car in the next 2 weeks and so i'll update you with what i get then....

It definately sounds like I can get enough power for £2k to start with. I enjoyed the power of my Type R and that was only 220 when i had modded it so im sure ill be a happy man with 250+
