Thanks for all your help so far, I have enquired with JKM in Southampton as they are recommended on here and appear to be the nearest to me. I'll let you know what i decide to go for ( so you can tell me im wrong i expect! )

Each to their own
If you want my advise ask for it if not as long as your happy we'll be happy for you
As you said only heard good things about them
One other thing, us someone close to you so if you have problems then its easier to get sorted out, so perhaps Star wouldn't be the best bet for you

Hi there Black3y,welcome to the club mate.£2000 to spend on mods, well youve got loads to choose from mate.I think the most popular mod would be more power via remap,i would agree with others and pay for full custom map set up on rolling road from someone who deals with the VAG group cars, most run at around £450-£550 mark i think. If your looking at an exhaust i would look at full system, and if you do fit one i would have it fitted first before remap, same for front mount intercooler, then when its mapped it can make the best use of it all.I reckon with map, cooler and exhaust that would be around £2000.:-o,but youll have plenty more power.:) You could always look at map, suspension, brakes, that would give you a good all round package.Once youve started you cant stop,i only intended doing map but now i have done loads and want to keep doing more. What ever you decide it wil put a smile on your face.:D

I hope it makes me smile in the end...someday !

I have enquired with a few places about the cost of the following upgrades...and also the resulting BHP / Torque estimates.....

Cold air induction kit
Forge Front Mount Inter
Forge Turbo intake pipe
4 BAR fuel pressure regulator
Live remap
dog bone mount
upper front strut brace
full PIPER exhaust system

I'll let you know what people say....unless you all fancy a guesstimate :p

Induction £150, Front mount £620, TIP £90, 4 BAR FPR £60, Map £500, DBM £30, Strutt brace £60, Piper system £950
Say £3,000 fitted??
With 270 BHP and 285 lbs.ft

You'll need a Forge DV too £60

Front mount intercooler wont improve power by much, more so torque i think, but it will help to keep things cooler in warm days, more important on remapped cars with more boost pressure,if inlet temp starts to rise then ecu holds engine back abit to prevent damage, more noteable on warm days.
To be fair a good remap on its own will put a smile on your face, and i would get dog bone mount done cos its cheap but helps put power down better, also dump valve cos standard one wont take remap.

Hi Junior Senior,
you mentioned you have an upgraded VAG front anti roll bar, do you have the part number and is it from the IV R32?

Revo Stage 1 - £400 + VAT
Cold Air Induction - £100 plus VAT
Forge Turbo intake pipe £114.45 plus VAT – Fitting £50.00 plus VAT
Forge Diverter Valve £84.53 plus VAT – Fitting £25.00 plus VAT
Upper S3 Strut brace £48.90 pus VAT – Fitting £75.00 plus VAT
Piper system £950 ( need to purchase myself )
Fitting PIPER exhaust is £75.00 plus VAT
Dog bone mount - £15.95 plus VAT – Free fitting if done at same time as exhaust
Forge FMIC - £733.95 plus VAT – Fitting is £150.00 plus VAT
4 Bar Fuel Pressure Regulator - £38.30 plus VAT
REVO stage 2 upgrade (assuming stage 1 already on the car) £50 plus VAT

Performance figures from a stage 2 remap will be in the region of 250-260bhp and 300ft.lb of torque.

Total cost £2911.08 + VAT

£3420.52

So, now i have picked my face up off the floor, how would i best spend closer to £2000 and maximise BHP and Torque.... as clearly doing everything is a little over my budget :)

For power only go for Exhaust and fitting £1,000
TIP, DV and Induction kit £400 fitted, dog bone mount £16 fitted, 4 BAR FPR £45
Then Stage 2 Remap, will this be done 'live' on a rolling road??

There you go bud, £2,000 easily spent, its good spending someone elses money

If you want the FMIC you CAN get it for £620 delivered through Awesome GTI on this forum

BTW these prices seem very expensive, who quoted these for you??

Do you know how thick the front ARB is? Just interested on how yyour car handles with a Standard front arb and the larger 28 Neuspeed on the rear?? I may so with something similar as I have to change th front on mine.

Sorry Black3y for high jacking the thread!

Thanks mate. I think i might just go for the power mods to start with and then maybe look into the other upgrades when the piggy bank is full again.

Looking at their prices it might be worth me looking to buy the parts myself as they are obviously adding a % on for themselves. I was just hoping they might look at it as quite a large job and thus keep the price down slightly.

All the prices you see were quoted from JKM.

HHUUMMMM!!
I think there is a large area for haggling there
With the mods I mentioned you'll get alot more smiles and a car that in a straight line will make a fool of civic type R's, Subaru WRX's and other cars like that

Hi Black3y.I dont think youll need front mount intercooler now outside temp is much lower, the 2 standard coolers will be doing a better job with cold air blowing over them, worry about that next summer,if we get one!!!.That'll save you £700.The standard dv will fail though so i changed mine before it was mapped,it also sounds really good with induction kit, also dogbone mount helped it put power down, felt a fair bit of vibration at first but it soon settled down as it bedded in.Fitting dv is fairly easy once youve found it so you could probably fit this yourself to save a few more quid, and if you get stuck loads of people on here will help you out.
