well my average mpg reading is on about 28.9 most of the time but its still drinking, i havent had it on vag-com yet as dont know anybody who can do it for me, but i do agree a car of this weight should be using that much especailly when i first got the car, the day i bought it i done 120 miles on £20 so thats alot of difference to what its using now, i do 20 miles a day to work and back and i use £15 in two days

Yes but the price of petrol has gone up considerably recently. If you got the car say 6months ago then £20 worth of fuel would have got you almost 1/5 more than it does now in petrol. If it was longer than that then I dread to think how much more you would have got.

performance car, performance costs .. simple.

If your worrying about the running costs then maybe you should look at buying something else.

just service the car, smot up plugs, thick dirty oil, clogged air filter aren't gong to be helping your problem any. And it might be worth doing the fuel filter too

Why not? We're not running supercars here!

And I'm still to really prove/disprove the "more mpg" from super unleaded. Considering i got about 425 miles from one tank of normal on a VERY slow motorway run....

i would say 90% of people here have had a remap and would strongly recomend using 97ron if its not running any higher boost than standard 95 would be fine.

i get between 100 - 120 miles from £20 of super.
