hi, i got good advice from you all about dodgey top mounts on my cupra r. i took it to the garage and they explained to me that i should try and find some uprated poly plastic top mounts. has anyone heard of or come across these before???? Dave

well decided 2 check all hoses bolts and stuff under the bonnet of the cupra and what do i find the drivers side of the strut brace moves up and down thus meaning the topstrut mounts not tight then i find someone has bodged some non standered bolts in there that dont tighten up and sound like...

My top mounts do not sit flush with the body of the car unless it is jacked up and the weight of the wheels pull the strut down and hence top mounts into their holes. Is this right? I would have thought there shouldn't be a gap between the top of the wheel arch and the bottom side of the top...

As Post title. I am in the process of fitting a strut brace on my mk4 Ibiza fr and one of the bolts started to come loose then just spines, seems to be the thread is ducked on the bolt. Anyone got any ideas on how to remove it?

Hi guys, i know this is covered in the FAQ section but iv already posted there a little while ago when i started to have the problem and now its get really bad and melted the whole fuse. There was no real definate answer to why this is happening, has anyone sorted it themselves?

Well... im not to sure what the problem may be but my dad said it could be valve problems but that could be wrong... basically at 70mph or over the car losses power also if you stop e.g. in the services it sounds like a diesel when you start it up again with a loudish ticking sort of noise...
