I was under the impression my tank (2007 1.9 TDi) as 45 litres. I had a range of 50 miles left and managed to get 50.5 litres in it! Is it due to the expansion tank, which I did 'bleed' the air out of? I did fill it to the brim, but the filler tube can't be 5 litres can it?

What is the actual capacity of the 2.0TDI fuel tank? The book says 55 litres and mentions 7 litres reserve. Does that mean a total of 62 litres? I only ask as the range figures on the onboard computer indicated zero miles left when there must have been at least another 3 litres in the tank...

Just wondering what your average miles to a tank is? I've got the 2.0l 8v and the most I've had is 320 out of £40. Last time I filled up it was £35 (40litres) and it only got 270. They were a fun 270miles but its not really that econmical. lol xx
