I live in a estate that has less than average size parking spaces so find i really use the folding mirrors for added peace of mind. I was wondering how i could go about tieing in the fold to my key fob so that when i push the lock button on the key the mirrors fold up. Can anyone suggest if this...

Does the new tear shaped wing mirrors on the mkI (MY03?) and FR fold in electronically? I'm considering either stubbies on both sides, or the newer tear shape. Anyone with electric folding old shaped mirrors done a swap for newer ones?

Any idea whats involved in removing the standard non folding wing mirrors and adding the folding ones? Its obviously more than purchasing the folding ones and whacking them on. Electrics? Fuses? Relays? Mirrors? switch?

Friends, I would like to order a set of design mirrors. On the catalouge there are custom base plates for Leon Mk1 with 3 or 4 wires. Is there a way to know which one should I have without taking things apart now? I thought maybe the 4'th wire is for warming the mirror. Thank you :)

Hey, know this is not gonna be the best idea I have had but do like the looks of them on the Ibiza, specially as the lacquer is pealing off my mirrors [:@] Anyone got any pics of the Ibiza with DTM Mirrors on? Thinking of getting them and have them sprayed in gloss black.

The laquer on my mirrors has started to flake and it looks crap, so have maneged to find another pair in the local scrappies the smae colour but they are of the electric type. Do the backs come off the mirrors? (the coloured bit) just before I go removing them thanks

Just got my LCR, the guy i bought it off showed me that when it locks the windows close and the wing mirrors fold in, but not it doesnt do that when i lock it? The wing mirrors fold in when i turn the knob but wont do it when i lock the car, tried holding it down, pressing it a couple of times...

Just curious, as I have been offered a set, and they're more rounded than the Ibiza ones so I reckon they'll suit the car a bit better. I don't want to waste my money if they don't fit, anyone know?

As the thread title says im wondering this. Wud this be possible?? I quite like the mirrors that are on the mk3 (Well the ones on the sport models, not sure if there the same on all mk3's) Wud it take alot of work to get them to fit?? Thanks for any help.

I was parked up at the local indian take-away waiting for the misses to come out and had the engine off and the key turned on. I noticed after a while the mirrors moved on their own. I took the key out put it back in turned it and after a while the mirrors moved again. What is the purpose of this?
