Have noticed there seems to be a bias towards green cotton induction kits/filters over K&N on SCN. Looking at kits for my mk3 tdi, are they more popular for a reason? never heard of Green cotton before I joined SCN.

I have to take my car into the stealers on Tues, does anyone know if the K&N panel filter will void warrenty? As far as i know it wont.

I'd like one for the 2.0 Tdi, the rrp is £45, there are some on Ebay but after adding p&p they are still close to £40. Does anyone know where they can be bought at a price that a tight fisted Northerner would pay ? Or is there a decent alternative to the K&N ?

Would a K&N style air filter do the same thing on a leon 1.9TDI as a normal petrol engine? Will it sound the same as on a petrol and make it more beefy?

Put a K&N filter on my Tdi FR the other day and was disapointed. In the past they always helped. May be only a little with my prevoius diesels but in the case of the FR it seemed worse :(. I know its a low reving unit compared to petrol but I was hoping a little bit more.
