Hi guys, just a quick question, my leather gear gaitor has come undone and is exposing the gearstick (look untidy). Im assuming that the collar under the gear knob has a thread on it so you can undo this and feed the leather inside and clamp it back up? Just looking to see if im right before...

So I went to have a look at a 16v cupra gti in fareham today, the car was pretty spot on apart from the amount of travel in the gear stick and the vagueness of the gear changes. Didn't know whether this was a common thing or if the gearbox or linkages needs doing? Thanks guys

HELP?? Clutch pedel gone rally hard and cant get in to gear any ideas?

Quick question, had the car now for 4 months and on a couple of occasions, struggled to get it into 5th gear, put it back to 4th then ok next time I tried it. Any ideas or is it just me being paranoid. Car is FR TDi 2006 4500miles on clock.

Hi, when pulling away in first my gearbox is a bit whiny. Is anybody elses the same ? is it normal or should i take it to dealer as only got about 8 months warranty left. car has only done 10k miles so will be a bit surprised if its faulty. thanks for any suggestions.
