I've done a search on here, but not finding what I'm looking for.
Basically, I have gone to check the oil etc this morning but can't get the bonnet open - the lever has opened it about an inch, but the pull release thingy (dont know what its called!!) isn't doing anything.
I can see the...

As the title states really, interested to see if anyone has done this and if so where the catch can is situated.
Also dimmensions of the can itself and route for the piping as not to interfere with other hoses.
Did have a quick look the other day with Phills old can but it looks very tight to...

Would it be worth fitting one to my 1.4?
Reason being is that I get the usual small layer or oil in the airbox from the breather pipe opening. Just wondered if it would be worth it to get rid of this.
Also how are the installed?? Breather pipe to the catch tank then another pipe to the...

My bonnet is a complete james blunt to open.
When you pull the lever to open it it doesnt pop the bonnet up. You have to try at least 10 times and even then you have to get your fingers under the grill and pull up !
Anyone else had this problem ? How did you resolve it ?
What use is an oil catch tank/upgraded oil catch tank?
I see them being put in in higher performance LCR's and TDi's etc, and cant figure out their use..
Is it just to keep the egnine bay clean? or what does it actually do?
Cheers...

I don't like the way my SMIC is soaked internally in oil, so I'm looking into fitting a catch tank between the crank case breather and air intake. Has anyone done this already as I'm interested in how the tank would be mounted and how to do the pipe work. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
