I've got a 2002 1.6 16v with 40,000 on the clock.
I opened the engine oil filler cap last week and was shocked to see a yellow gunk and water droplets on the underside and on the filler lip. :(
Car was last serviced in December, so pretty confident it wasn't there before then...
Filled up with fuel at lunchtime today, and when I took the nozzel out of the tank I noticed that the metal valve at the top of the tank (the bit where you stick the nozzel through) was missing :confused:
I suspect that its got pushed down the pipe into the tank?

I had my engine idle running on the drive the other day and just decided to remove the oil filler cap on top of the engine whilst the engine was idling and there was this tremendous sucking of the cap (like a vacuum) as I was pulling the cap off and I was quite surprised at this.

Just broke the end cap covering the rear wiper jet housing. I was wondering as the rear wiper also needs to be replaced. Would you recommended installing the Skoda rear wiper or would it be cheaper just replacing the wiper and buying the cap from Seat.

The small switch that is activated when the central locking is on to keep the fuel cap door locked isnt bloody opening! I've tried to open from the inside like the manual says by pulling this cord but it came away in my chuffing hand! what can i do!?!?!
