Thought this would be a good idea for this section. What do you guys and gals recommend for the best way to clean the calipers and remove brake dust. Also what products. Thanks
Car is 2.0 16v SX.
The car was parked with handbrake on for about 4 months before I bought it. When the handbrake is released, the caliper levers don't return to the stops. If I take the cable off and work the lever by hand then it returns ok, but when the handbrake is applied, they don't go...

Hoping to paint my calipers. But cant decide which colour to go for.
To aid me in my quest. Does anyone have a pic of there plat silver leon with either silver or red painted calipers.
THe wheels are the standard cupra ones that are spilt in 2, but essentially 5 spokes
Just wanted to know if anyone has attempted this or even taken them some where to be done, the laquer on mine is coming of and they look pants so need to get it sorted.

Painted the calipers red and painted the centre and edge of the disc black.
Only done the drivers side as it was too cold.
Also took the time to clean the wheels and put a coat of Supaguard on them.
I removed the front calipers but got away with doing the rear...

What else would i need to get these rear calipers to fit my Leon? THinking of getting the backs looking a bit better and ive sene them on...
My originally red painted calipers have turned pink. I have not been using any harsh alloy wheel cleaners, just soapy water and elbow grease. Has anyones else done the same? Was thinking of lightly coating them with something to try and bring them back to life--any suggestions apart from...
Is this a common problem on the cupras. My front drivers side caliper has seized. i took the caliper off last night and tried to push the piston back in with a wind back tool but it wouldn't budge, can you buy a service kit???
Probably sounds like a daft question but anyway, looking at some Brembo calipers which were ment for a Mk3 VR6 golf now if I was to mount these on the suitable brakets/retaining brakets for a Mk3 Ibiza Cupra R would they be ok for my Ibiza?
While washing the wheels at weekend i noticed on the passenger side front caliper thers was some water behind what looks like a Vinyl sticker. On closer inspection i have found lots of little white spots all over the caliper, even on the bolts, If i rub my finger over them it feels like little...
