boost

When cruising along and accelerate gently the boost on my LCR starts rising then all of a sudden the boost guage will go off the guage but the car doenst pull with it. Its got a stage 3 remap and go fine when foot to the floor just does this with progressive acceleration. Any Ideas?

Is there any other ways of fitting a boost gauge without having to drill and tap a fitting into the intercooler piping?

for all you people who have Leon Cupra/r mk1's, where is the best place to stick a boost gauge, i dont want it on the pillar, or sticking on top of the dash or that, i want it somewere sutble so it can blend in. Anyone have any pictures of theirs, any help woud be appreciated :)

So I treated myself to a Autoguage boost guage from Halfords and a second-hand Nomad pillar-pod from a member on the forum for my Mk1 Leon FR+ TDi. Excitedly, I got busy tapping into the intercooler pipe, running the pipework through to the cabin and wiring it up (thank God for this forum!)...

i have a revo stage 2 on my ibiza cupra, did a log on it last night with vagcom and its running maximum boost, i mean the absolute max the KO3s can do. is this normal for revo to have it set at such an unsafe boost? i didnt get the car mapped but considering ditching the map for a safer one...

I have had my car checked by 3 garages, they cannot locate any leaks, No pressure tests have been done, just visibly looking at the hoses, Leak started when I changed to an uprated recirc DV, A huge wheezing can now be heard with probs only 75% power.. Where should I be looking for leaks...

Looking to fit a Boost gauge to my TDI but need to know where to plumb it into? anyone with a TDI fitted one that can help?? Also need to know the best place to run the boost pipe into the cabin

should my ko3s drop from 20psi to 10psi by around 6000 rpm? Have no logs to go on and have checked for leaks and all is good there. Just wanting to know really. Cheers all Tony

Cleaned my TB and reset it today then took it for a run and did a log of it Am i correct in thinking that you take 1000mbar off the reading to give your boost?? If so the reading in red equates to 10psi which i thought is a little high for a standard LC? Saturday 6 February 2010 16:19:52...

Does anyone use a Blitz BC etc for setting different boost settings on their cars? Im so used to having one on my Evos etc, It appears the 1.8t lump just needs remapping then? Would you not safely squeeze more power out by SAFELY uppin the boost? Obviously with supporting mods - IC's etc...

hi all got a boost guage the other day and just want a black single pilar pod to mount it in. I dont want a nomad pod just a single guage pod that fixes onto the pillar. Anyone know where i can get one from that wil actualy fit, not a crappy universal one. Cheers for any advice :)

Ive got a problem with my Cupra R Now i have not had one issue with the car but now i have a boost problem, As soon as it comes on to boost its misfiring and stuttering. BADLY, almost to the point of stopping. I cant beleive it if im honest as the car was fine the last time i took it it out...

guys anyone ever diy tested for boost leaks, not seen many posts on here for diy, and not that many products out there... seen this one, seems expensive ish, but i gotta test as i think i may have a leak somewhere...
