In UK, 505.01 is available as Millers XFE-PD. You can look for local stockists (and tech info) via the Millers Oils Homepage.

A recent post also mentioned that the Cupra PD 160 requires 506.01.

Also Castrol have one called "Castrol 505 01"...this is what my local VW dealer stocks, and what my car currently uses.

Castrol is the original 505.01 VW spec oil. It's the only stuff you get over here at the dealers or at BP.

Valvolene 505.01 in 5ltre size, I think the Fuch's stuff is in 25ltrs only

Fuchs comes in all sizes, from 205ltr to 1ltr.

I presume Fuchs is not pronounced like "Ducks"....not sure how though...

Fuchs is german and is pronounced as follows Fuuchs. You've got to have the ooh like a monkey for the U in Fuchs.

So...is it "foooks" or "fooosh"

tdi oil

can i put 506.01 longlife oil in my tdi 150 leon. i know its for longer servicing but its is better oil.

Best sticking with the 505.01 spec. Longlife means longer service intervals but also higher oil consumption in between.

First, do a search mate, tons of stuff on PD-suitable oils and the like here in the TDI section.
Secondly, if your cars under warranty, talk to the dealer first and listen to their advice.

I have a PD160 (Ibiza Cupra) which is basically a PD150 engine and it needs 506.01 spec oil.

But best check in your handbook to make sure.

My PD130 is running 506.01 spec oil in it, and I have been advised by our favourite Skoda Master Technician that this shouldn't be a problem as long as it is changed at SEAT's recommended service intervals.

thank for that info. what oil are you using in your tdi 130 then. i was thinking about using castrol slx 11 longlife oil.
