Well, it finally winged it's way to me, my Y reg Ibiza Chill. Nothing could wipe the smile from my face! Nothing! Here's a couple of pics for ya!

On the front:
  • Modifying the bit at the bottom like markmeus has. (Sorry, it looks fantastic though)
  • Xenon lights, or something brighter than the ones I've got atm. :)
  • (Kind of front) Colour coded mirrors (poss)
  • Alloys
  • New fog Light on drivers side (Lil bit of water in there ) :) done!

picture.php

On the back:
  • Rear spacers, Geez it needs it!
  • de-badge :)
  • Any other suggestions?

picture.php

Inside:
  • Boot build :) 12" sub in boot
  • new 4x6's, or whatever they are.
  • Dash LED kit (It shall be blue)
  • (poss) short throw gear stick
  • New Handbrake handle (yeuch)
  • Door handle respray/do something with them.
  • a litte bit more of a clean :) every week

Okay, thats it so far. Only just got it back from the dealership, so no time for a clean, now going for a show off :D Any suggestions, criticisms, uhhh, random chat, It's all good, just, don't be too harsh, I'm not on here to help, I'm on here, hopefully, to be helped. Thanks guys 'n' girls

Great little motor. Lovely colour too. Will look great with the front bumper mod.

Liking the list of mods you have planned, that'll keep you busy

I have water in my fog lights too, must get that sorted. They're starting to go rusty inside. Seen some going cheapish on eBay a while ago so shouldn't be too hard to source some.

Will be watching this thread, can't wait to see how it progresses.

Thats really nice - i nearly had a black one but they were really rare in my area when i was looking - typical now, they are everywhere but i'm happy with my little Izzy.

Okay, couple or three things...

1) Spacers. Little help on sourcing? I'm pretty handy with eBay, but that's about it.

2) What spacers are best for the back?

3) First panic, on the right hand side of the engine, there's what looks like a sensor where the (what looks like) top of the engine is... And it's got oil spurting out of it... and ideas?

That's a lovely motor you've got there mate, you must be really proud of it, as D.K says, you're gonna have to start coming to the meets, you'll get a tonne of advice from people close up about what to do to the car.

Anyways, hope you enjoy your car mate!

forgot to ask, what's the engine size?

Oops, it's a 1.4, slow as hell compared to a cupra, but I had a 1.2 before, so it seems quick ;) Give me 2 seconds, I'll see if I can get a pic of where the oils coming from

It's coming from the little green plug in the centre of the pic. Thanks for the help

Looooool! Had my car three days and it's ALREADY in a garage being repaired. Thank Nick for RAC warranty ;) Anyways, While it's in there, thought I'd start shopping for rims. 1st prob: My cuz n me were looking at the wheel arches and he reckoned you could only just fit 195/15" wheels on it without scraping or having to cut out the arches. Is anyone any wiser here? Would be nice to have some numbers to work to before I going wheels that won't fit :p

Hopefully will have car back by next week. Then the fun begins properly, as my old corsa will be off the drive, means I won't be laying on the road to see how to get the bottom of the front bumper off :s

Last thing, I promise. How will lowering the car affect what wheels you can put on it? Thanks Guys n gals, I'll update soon :)

lol, the mk3 cupra alloys are 16" iirc... there's a set of black ones in the for sale section i think - without tyres though...
lowering... ian_cupra and adam1.4ibiza both have coilovers with these wheels... i expect you to suffer from no problems given the correct setup!

EDIT: Link added for wheels http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=186731

i have 205/40/17 tyres and my car is lowered about 40-50mm all round on coilovers and there is no scrubbing of the arches

Okay, got the car back, all fixed. Now all I want to do is drive it! found some 20mm spacers on fleabay for £40, should do the job. Haven't bought them yet as I'm skint, but I've invested in a couple of ultrawhite LEDs for the sidelights. Should look a lot nicer than the yellow glow I'm getting atm. :)

Thanks for all the info on the alloys situ, I really need some OZ turismo style ones, they'd finish it off for now beautifully. Ah well. In time. Not as though there's much point, but I was looking at Nevs thread and wondering 'is there any point in colour coding the bump strips on a black car...' lol, just a little update, I'll post pics when they come :)
