Ive had these on for a while now so I thought it was about time I showed them off. They're the golf gti montreal 2's 16"

Bought them off ebay for £150, got them dipped to remove all the silver paint and also a few scratches then had them powder coated. The colours not got a name, just a number but I really pleased with them!

Hope you like them!

What do you all think about the height of the car? I wanted to lower it a bit more at the front to get a better stance but it'll catch too much if I do.

Looks great! :)

I was going to go with 16'' alloys but they didn't fit over my brakes, 17'' for me again...

Height looks fine, maybe a tad lower on the back? Do you have spacers and what size tyres are they?

Yeh ive got 20mm rear spacers, was thinking about spacing the front a bit though?

Cant go any lower at the back in afraid, stupid really when theres loads more to go on the front. Tyres are 205/40.

Shame you couldn't fit your 16's, my car feels loads better for having smaller wheels :)

Looks good mate.

I almost bought a set of these last year to replace my standard 1s.

Ride height is perfect.

Thanks for comments guys!

Vekic: They are definately "montreal 2" I just searched for golf gti alloys and looked through them all. There was quite a few on ebay but they all have massive tyres, its best to find a set with rubbish tyres then change them to low porfile.

Hi mate your cars looking awesome yellow is deffinatly the best colour hahaha, personally i think you need to get the cupra/fr rear lights and get your door handles colour coded and cupra rear spoiler and it will look the nuts, i still can't decide whether to swap my bumper for a cupra one still un-sure on that, i am looking to change alloys i love my cupra ones but want something a bit different may just get them painted dark grey i really like your new alloys but i have problems with traction on 17's i would hate to think what it would be like on 16's lol anyway keep up the good work looks mint

Cheers! I love it in yellow to :D Hopefully I'll have the same power as you shortly, my turbos died so I'm after a hybrid :funk: I'm a bit worried about traction though so some better tyres might be needed lol.

Definately get darker alloys, it looks really good with yellow, I was thinking of getting those darker fk rear lights but moneys going on the turbo at the min. Whats the story with your turbo/map? Im thinking of allards
