Following my previous logging session with std airbox (results here) 185.5 g/s, I refitted my Maxflow RamAir today. I'd bought a new core for it.

Here are my logs. Air temp 5 degrees, the only other thing is that following a tip from our sooty friends I put some dielectric grease on my MAF and N75 terminals. (same SP3 settings)

You can really feel the difference in poke with the RamAir back on. It flies.
I wonder if 200g/s is achievable with a FMIC and some SP3 tweaking....

We are main UK distributors for the Ramair filters.

They do give great results, are are priced very well in the market. When we have the new rolling road in we will be doing some more in depth tests to see what gains they are acheiving.

What you need to do (I think) is to find a reliable way to mount them in a VAG 1.8T. In my opinion the strut from battery tray to MAF just passes body shocks to the MAF.

My RamAir is currently sitting on it's own little cushion of bubblewrap bound in tank tape. (and a flexible bracket to the suspension turret mount)

intresting.
im wondering if the dielectric grease played a part in this? when iused it on my maf connecter the car definatly responded better. power felt looser. like id removed a sock from the air intake.

those are some galactic flow figures!

i didnt realise the k03s was capable of flowing that much, with the results iv seen first hand, healthy mafs on k03s equipped motors flowed no more than my k03 which iv had peak at 162g/s

News on a more robust way of mounting the ramair would be greatly appreciated as I just knackered a maf at the point which mounts the ramair bracket to the MAF. Strut top seems a good idea, raid should manufacture a bracket for this as they would sell well as an aftermarket part. This bracket could be added to all future kits as a standard item.

DPJ have you got a pic of this bracket?
