Thanks for the contributions to this forum - just got my Mk1 Leon and gained useful info allready.

I have just had VW cruise control fitted by a chap called Gareth. Excellent guy - advertises on ebay. Highly recommended.

stalk is £32.17
wiring is £17.78

I know I have paid a fitting charge, I am not happy doing it myself - so he also had to travel.

Local dealers wanted £200 ish

If you know someone who will do it for less then please post for others.

Just wanted to say that I had my cruise control fitted by this guy yesterday after seeing his details on this thread. Top guy and top service! Came to my place of work and sorted it in just over an hour.

had mine fitted a while back now.

he came to my work to fit it and even tucked my parrot bluetooth wires out of sight

I've sent the guy an email to see if he can supply a kit for the Ibiza - Seems very reasonable however I'll need to use his point of contact in Glasgow.

how much roughly is being charged for this? There's nothing in his ebay shop atm! if its cheap enough its easier to get someone else in to do it I think!

The guy got back to me and said he can't do the Ibiza Mk4.

I still need to phone Jim @ Star and see how much he'd be looking for, the cheapest I've found elsewhere is JBS and they charge £150... not too bad!

I got mines done for £190 + VAT at StarPerformance (but that is for my Leon might be cheaper for the Ibiza) back in September.

how long did the job take? i'm driving down to England in 2 weeks and fancy having this to make the journey easier.
