My new Ibiza project (UPDATE: 19/4/09, post 59)

Engine bay!!!! What about the wheels, lol.

Looks good Josh how did the front ARB ans rear strutt brace effect the handling?
Was that what caused you to get banned

The car was cleaned 2 days ago believe it or not! lol

Don't have an upgraded front ARB. The lower front strut brace is the best thing I've bought for the car. Such an improvement to the handling. Rear strut brace not so much, but definatly notice it being alot flatter through the twisties, but the back end tends to get pushed out alot more now.

Lost my licence in the 1.4 lol!

banned? Some1 been a bad boy?? LOL anyway cars lookin sweet, did you fit the h&r kit ok?

Cheers.

Changed the suspension countless times on the Ibizas now countless times so was a peace of p***. Put new top mounts on the front. Only problem when taking standard suspension off was taking out one of the old bolts into the top mount as the welded nut on the mount broke so it was just spinning.

Like how you have a K&N sticker on the slam panel but not a K&N filter

O and on filters you need an adaptor plate

Just snapped my clutch pedal! Hopefully not the pedal box itself.

Thread about it here: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=2222905#post2222905

Going to check the damage tomorrow and hopefully get a garage to weld it up.

Found out what excatly it is. Good news it's definatly not the pedal box! :) What it is, is the housing on the pedal that pushes the plunger in to engage the clutch has a little bit of metal welded to the end, that has snapped off (usual SEAT standard of welding..!), so the pedal wasn't pushing the plunger in.

I've now put on a "structure" of about 20 tie-wraps to the AAs 3, and it's is holding out quite well now. Obviously only temporary until I can either get a new clutch pedal and fit it myself or get a garage to weld it back on.

Couple of pictures of my handy work:

Ended up getting a new clutch pedal from SEAT. £33 inc. vat! Not bad price for SEAT I suppose...

Finished fitting it today, very fiddly job, probably made it harder for myself not taking off alot. When I finished I found a much easier way to do it with taking even less off!

Some better pictures of the broken clutch pedal:

Got my new 10mm FK spacers fitted today. Looks great. Haven't took it for a run yet because I was trying out on my new vag-com on the laptop which doesn't work at the moment...

So here is a picture I just took this evening (bloody short days!!):

Got Vag-com working and came up with this:

Code:
Hard drive is playing up at the moment, will add them soon (hopefully!)

So will have to have a look at those maybe sometime.

Also looking for some 5mm spacers at the front as it rubs a bit and will look better too [B)]

And just bought some new spare wheels for the car:

Take up a lot of space in the aul student accomodation!

Too good a deal to miss, brand new tyres and hardly any marks on the wheels at all. Think they would look good in black. Bought to sell the car on basicly.
