I cannot remember the ones I had but i did have a little issue in fitting them.

When removing the coil packs there is a wire that you need to unbolt first before undoing the next nut to remove the coil pack

Just make sure you have a spanner on the nut on top as well as the one below it. I actually had to take one of my spanners and grind it down a bit so it coulds slide onto the bottom nut

I went a bit ham fisted on the first one with just one spanner and the bolt I thought was captive in the head wasn't. It twisted and I actually snapped the wire by accident

Bit of soldering was needed and its all good now but best to know beforehand
Thanks

Personally I use NGK R7438-9 Racing Spark Plugs and very happy with the fit and performance but It should be noted my motor spends more time on the track than on the road.

Re-visiting this thread.

Does anyone know when they changed from the PLFER7A8EG ( 94833 ) plugs to the ILFER7C8EG ( 91898 ) plugs on the CJXC engine in 2018

For NGK online cats, only certain models and marques reflected the change, with internet chatter claiming that both the "A" and "B" were still being sold side by side, each having its own VW Group model/marques for the same engine - though maybe not in every engine/year.
Personally I'd follow whatever was listed on the VW Group parts listings.

By the way, the ILFER7C8EG stock number 91898, being an Iridium plug can have a longer service life, 6 years against 4 years for the PLFER7A8EG stock number 94833. My daughter's May 2019 Leon Cupra came new with the Iridium plugs and so a recommended "replace" time period of 6 years,

Do check the VW Group parts listing for your age of car, if there was an option or a choice or a secession(sp), it will get reflected there.

Okay, I've checked the VW Group online parts listing, for CJXC engines, car build dates up to 08/04/2018 use 06K 905 601 B, for car build dates 09/04/2018 and onwards use 06K 905 601 L which I'd think corresponds to NGK PLFER7A8EG and later cars ILFER7C8EG - but remember, that might just align with a change in maintenance strategy and nothing more.

That would probably put my engine on to the earlier platinum plug ( registered late April 2018 )
Allowing 2-3 weeks from factory to UK suggests it was built 1st week April

Guessing I will need to pull a plug and find out before ordering.

The Iridium option is shown as an upgrade for you age of car, on the NGK applications listing, if I were you I'd just go for that one and maybe take advantage of the longer service life.

I'm guessing that you replace the spark plugs every 4 years as they are Platinum, changing to Iridium would offer a 6 year service life.

Edit:- the VW Group parts listing never offers "upgrades" only what was fitted at initial build, the only time that other part numbers are given is that when a part has been superseded for any number of reasons.
