Hi,

picking up our new 74 plate V2 eTSI formentor but i have always drove 2.0lr engines and above, can anyone advise how the 1.5 feels?

been offered by the dealership a 23 plate VZ2 Formentor 2.0lr for the same price as the above car, what would you recommend?

i do love the new facelift on the 74 but is the VZ2 a better car all round?

any help apprciated thank you in advance!

The Formentor is a big heavy car and if you are used to 2 litre plus cars then it is going to feel slow. I test drove the 2l Formentor but still bought the Leon as It felt quicker in everyday driving. CUPRA's are meant to be quick, the 1.5 is not IMO.

I've got a 22-plate VZ2, had it since new and can honestly say it's the best car I've ever driven. The performance is wonderful, ride comfortable, and if you take them both for a test drive I think you'll make your mind up pretty quickly - especially if you get a chance to clear out the tubes (as my old man used to say).
