Model Year 20/21 Piano black paint coming off?

Hi, I have noticed recently the edge of rear window trim having a fine white contour. Looking closer I can see it is black paint eroding and exposing primer.
The car is one of the earliest builds from 2020, around 45kkm, cleaned per hand, or at the very least with pressure washer.
Dealer claims I am first reporting this. They threw me away by taking a microscope and judging user fault. How? I don't know. Please comment, even check your car and help me find out.

Well something similar I have observed on my Audi Q3 ownership from new 2020.
I guess you can't do much it's the paint on edges which seems a bit fragile.
Probably due to cleaning and rubbing over time it is what I think.

Maybe consider getting the exterior piano black window trim pieces vinyl wrapped?

To be more precise, the car is still under warranty until 2026, so I am not looking for a diy solution for this. I want to know to what extent this type of wear is common, to be considered factory/design fault.
In other words, should a customer expect a worn exterior looks in a car under warranty and be happy about it?

They're either ignorants, or liers...
There were some discussions on a Romanian group - and a few owners had those trims replaced under warranty.
One reason was the black paint peeling-off, another reason being the "flexing" of the trim. Try to apply some pressure with your finger to the back-corner of the trim and see how much it flexes towards the inside of the car. Some guys were wondering how come it doesn't come off at highway (Autobahn) speed...

Maybe you’re the first to report it at your specific dealership but as @CupForm has intimated, not the first of all Formentor owners to report it.

It begs the question why Cupra would choose to use a seemingly unsuitable material or an unsuitable finish such as piano black on the window trims . I really dislike piano black as it’s a totally impractical finish and it picks up scratches and swirls almost by just looking at it.

IMHO that's one of the worst automotive material "invention"/adoption for both interior and exterior...

Agree. Diamond cut alloys are also a really bad idea IMHO, unless you like the white worm corrosion look for your alloys.
