Seat Leon 1.6 tdi 2015 - Oil leak after turbo replacement

Hi everyone , (first time posting so I hope it’s in the correct location)

Ive had my turbo replaced on my Seat Leon MK3 1.6 TDI 2015 due to a starved turbo. Since this was replaced and fully serviced it’s now had a small oil leak since and it’s driving me crazy. The mechanic who fitted this has been back and forth a few times and he can’t seem to tackle this so I thought I’d try and do some research myself. Yesterday he mechanic came back and replace a copper washer on the banjo bolt as he assumed the leak was coming from there and for whatever reason he said he didn’t replace that when he fitted the new turbo. So that was replaced and it still didn’t resolve the issue. He also doesn’t think it’s the oil return either. So today I got another mechanic to inspect the area to see if he could locate

the leak and he seen a few drops come off this area (Flange bolt I believe he said). I have a photo of the area. This is the same area where the copper washer was replaced. In the image I’ve attached were the pipe goes into that socket area. The mechanic that inspected it today seen drops of oil coming from the place I’m marked on the image below. yes I’m just lost with this all and I was wondering if anybody else has had any similar issues ? The car drives fine nothing seems different etc but it’s got a slow drip of oil and it’s definitely seems to be coming from the turbo area.

The banjo is the lower joint.
The joint you are looking at in the mirror is the upper threaded pipe joint - number 42 = 059145911A
One end has an copper washer (43) - the other end of the union is a flared seat like you get on brake pipe. Could be either this washer or contamination of the flared seat? or maybe it just wants to be nipped up?

Do you recommend changing the bolt ? (42)

I’m hoping the mechanic is coming back out today and I can give him some suggestion that I’ve found online

Depends what access is like?
I would probably check it is nipped up first if easy enough access?
But if you have to remove a load of stuff to get to it - then would be safer just getting a new union + washer while you're 'in there' - and check the end of the pipe is clean.

Hi again , do you have the part number for the washer that goes on to number 42 ? We’ve identified the leak is deffo coming from my original image and the mechanic looking at it now said it wasn’t even tight so figures crossed it just needs nipping up.

Ok so we’ve seen a leak coming from the area confirmed seeming the copper washer has failed and when we was watching this on the ramp you could see the oil building around the washer when the engine was running and after a few second drip off. We then changed the washer and tightened the bolt up as the mechanic dealing with this said it wasn’t really on tight.

We then got this back on the ramp with the engine running and watched the same location for a good 5 minutes and nothing seemed to leak through like previously so fingers crossed this solves the issue

The mechanic then got break cleaner and tried his best to clean the area as there’s oil everywhere from this slow leak being sprayed around when driving.

My only issue now - Is it normal to still see drops of oil under the car due to the oil being sprayed around everywhere under the car due to this leak when driving ?
As the mechanic did say there’s oil all in the subframe and at the bottom of the engine. Over the last 3 weeks it’s probably been topped back up with 2 litres of oil and I’ve drove around 400-500miles. So you can only imagine the amount of oil around and down there.

In the meantime I’m going to keep checking my oil but does anybody have any suggestions as this has stressed me out the last month or so.
