Hi everyone , (first time posting so I hope it’s in the correct location)
Ive had my turbo replaced on my Seat Leon MK3 1.6 TDI 2015 due to a starved turbo. Since this was replaced and fully serviced it’s now had a small oil leak since and it’s driving me crazy. The mechanic who fitted this has been back and forth a few times and he can’t seem to tackle this so I thought I’d try and do some research myself. Yesterday he mechanic came back and replace a copper washer on the banjo bolt as he assumed the leak was coming from there and for whatever reason he said he didn’t replace that when he fitted the new turbo. So that was replaced and it still didn’t resolve the issue. He also doesn’t think it’s the oil return either. So today I got another mechanic to inspect the area to see if he could locate
the leak and he seen a few drops come off this area (Flange bolt I believe he said). I have a photo of the area. This is the same area where the copper washer was replaced. In the image I’ve attached were the pipe goes into that socket area. The mechanic that inspected it today seen drops of oil coming from the place I’m marked on the image below. yes I’m just lost with this all and I was wondering if anybody else has had any similar issues ? The car drives fine nothing seems different etc but it’s got a slow drip of oil and it’s definitely seems to be coming from the turbo area.
