If you check your tyre pressures regularly then just a drop of oil now and again will keep them ok.
I had metal caps on my bmw for years and every 6 months or so a drop of oil kept them fine.

I'll do that.

How do you find the fitment of the accelerator pedal? Where did you get them from?

Have fitted an aliexpress set myself and the accelerator pedal was incredibly tight, too short for the pedal really.

That is because the one that you replaced it with is now the default correct one, if you need to retro fit the original one you will need to get it returned to being a "virgin" unit.

Fair enough, ideally, to swop back you would contact a proper VW Group Indie that had all the necessary VW Group licences - main dealers probably could not handle that, too lazy or risk averse - or both, as it is not something that the workshop would need to do often.

Edit:- for info/interest, the cost for getting this done would be 0.5>0.75hr.

I posted on a local Facebook group and a guy that does vw retrofitting is going to sort on Saturday for £50. The garage up road that quoted £177 seemed rather excessive

VW Retrofitting did my HighLine reverse camera and adaptive cruise control. Nice guy and decent prices.

Looking online someone said to put the pedal in boiled water to expand it and put it on the pedal and it will shrink to fit the pedal tightly. I didn't have to do any of that so was lucky I guess.

I got from exactly the same seller, and also got the wrong footrest haha!

Mine is a very tight fit, so tight I'm worried it will pop off. I might try stick it down with something just for peace of mind
