Hi guys,

Im looking at buying a Dec 2020 registered Leon eHybrid, from one of the UK car supermarkets.

Any idea what version of infotainment this build would have at is lowest, assuming it has never been updated? I’m happy with updating it myself if I buy it, but believe I can’t if the system is too old.

cheers.

My recommendation is to let them update everything before you collect the far. If the software starts 16XX you can't update it yourself. Plus there was plenty recall for different module software update that you don't want to ve missed otherwise you will be having plenty issues with SOS, navigation, central electronics. Not worth the hustle. Make sure all the service compain was completed. I'm sure Seat dealer can check this for you beforehand

yeah I’m not buying from a seat dealer, and I wouldn’t be able to get it updated from the supermarket I’m buying from. Happy to pay a seat dealer or take it in for any recall work though 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn't risk it honestly my car was also 2020. i bought it as demo after COVID and what a nightmare that was until everything has been updated. I think year of struggle is weak term. Especially when Seat dealer network work is on very low level i visited 3 different garage. And what a story that was.

Sounds a nightmare. Maybe the savings at a car supermarket are not worth over an approved seat dealer.

If you can check it VIN with Seat dealer that has all the recall and campaigns done that should give you more clarity. Problem obviously will start when there's an issue with the car as i can imagine Seat would charge fortune for all these update as outside of the warranty

Mainly sorting issues with SOS errors, adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, central electronics unit, steering module etc.

So unless I’m mistaken, even if it’s out of warranty seat should fix any recalls that havent been done, free of charge?

I don't think so this is internal recall within the Seat service network, nothing publicly announced. Internally called as service campaigns

I bit the bullet and bough a Leon eHybrid yesterday. Just getting to grips with it, looks fun. These are my software versions - which ones can I and should I update? thank you.

1780 is way out of date. The newest version 1969 but I'm not sure 1780 can update over the air - you may need to take it to a dealer.r
