Just starting a thread for things I have met on track days that you dont see all the time.

Donnington Park, this guy bought the Jag E Type as a daily

Donnington Park - Food hall.

Cadwell Park, even though they have two very nice motors still sleeping in a tent.

Cadwell, this motor is running a Civic Type R underneath this Plastic (Metro looking) body and he was having real trouble keeping the power down.

MG Montego (as it was a MG Day) estate please, I must admit the first time I saw it I thought it was A Volvo.

I also saw a Rover 200 (I used to have the 220 Turbo that was a great motor to drive) and some other great oldies

I too thought it was a volvo and only after reading this went back and saw what it actually is.

Spotted this on the Cadwell Park group

"Forgot to put this on yesterday was, so funny and he was 81 yrs old that rode a yamaha r1 at trackday"

Just goes to show you are never to old to enjoy a bit of fun on a fast car/bike

Me and my mate thought we were old at 66 & 68 when out on our bikes yest, hope we are still like this guy for years yet too.

I am the same age, as the old saying goes you are as young as you feel.

Some more great pictures from the sidecar event at Cadwell, hold on to your cross bar it keeps you safe and the bike driver.

The lady who is riding in the side car said "

I remember back in my Metro GTI having loads of fun, and 0-60 in 8.6 was very quick back then

An E Type was always my favourite dream car when I was young, still never had or drove one yet. I'll wait till the pipe and slippers arrive I think.

Agreed a very beautiful car and personally I preferred the straight 6 4.2 engine which from memory had more power than the V12 5.3.

But its only a dream unless the lottery numbers come up

Matty Cobb's VW Beetle , this has been built by HWR engineering, he raced it for the first time at the opening rounds at Oulton Park, finishing second to Paul Brydon, Solution F BMW.
