Formentor v2 190 first service cost

My Formentor is coming up to it's 1st service which I believe it's just an oil and filter change @ around 9k
I was contacted by my preferred Main Dealer JCT600 who quoted me £385.16 for the pleasure, I thought that sounds way too expensive
after ringing around I booked it with Lookers Stockport for £213.
feels like they were trying to rip me off what do you guy's think ?

Sounds expensive at JCT600. Mine's a hybrid and same 9k miles but it's the second service. Been quoted £321 for that at preferred main dealer.

Yes, quite expensive for oil-filter, over here is abt 170 eur for the same job. However I found out they were charging 20+ eur for 1 litre of oil, so I brought them the oil which cost me less than half of that, the same VW Audi oil in the grey containers otherwise they wouldn't accept to use it and so I just paid them 50 eur for filter and work. Oil cost me 55 eur for 6 litres at an oil store.

It would have been worth checking with JCT to see what service they quoted you a price for;

1. minor (oil and filter) service under the annual / time and distance service regime
2. major (oil, filter and inspection) service under the annual / time and distance service regime
3. standard service under the flexible / variable service regime

The price you were quoted suggests it was either 2. or 3. when I’m assuming that what you require is 1. That’s assuming your car is on annual / time and distance servicing.

I’m not familiar with Cupra’s Seat’s service pricing (I own a VW). However, I’d expect VW and Cupra / Seat dealers to charge similar prices; VW’s price for a minor (oil / filter) service is around £195.

Got first service (oils/fluids/filters changed etc etc) done at my 'preferred service partner' for £189.
That JCT600 mob were definitely taking the mickey (and what sort of name is that for a firm? Sounds like a new make of steam cleaner).

Don't think you are dreaming - I have had the same BS pulled on me.
I went over the car the night before I dropped it off - washer fluid full - oil appx 2mm off max.

Got an email during the day of the service saying I had allowed the oil to run rather low and a picture of a dipstick with oil under min.
Then got charged for washer fluid.

Just called and they quoted £239

Perhaps the full body massage has since bumped up the price?

Had the 1st Service done by Lookers Cupra in Stockport yesterday, £203 charged, they did an excellent job, very happy will make them my preferred Dealer on the app even though they're 50 miles away from me in Bradford but a once a year trip is no big deal to get great service

They do the usual vehicle check report, check also for updates to the software, then a wash and vac is offered
