Formentor 1st Service prices

Hmm so further to my last post I have just checked my dashcam.

From moving my car into the garage and parking it back to where I collected it, it had been “serviced“ for a total amount of time of 38min.

Does that seem right to anyone?

My dash cam only switches on when ignition is on so there is approx 34min where there is no footage.

This is what Lookers say they do on a similar service

Fixed Price Major/Full Service - £349*​

(Every 24 months/ 20,000 miles, based on fixed regime)​

• Car serviced to CUPRA UK’s recommendations
• Premium synthetic oil change
• Change fuel filter (diesel engines, where required)
• Change oil filter
• Comprehensive vehicle inspection and report
• Check and top up screenwash and antifreeze
• Check for outstanding vehicle safety, software and product enhancements from CUPRA's database
• Vehicle fault memory check and report
• Air filter replacement
• Pollen filter replacement (where required)
• Check suspension system
• Check and adjust tension of drive belts (where required)
• Remove all wheels for full inspection of braking system
• Replace spark plugs (petrol engines)
• Check heating/air-conditioning operation
• Reset service interval display
• Vehicle road test
• CUPRA proof of service
• Courtesy wash and vacuum
• FREE CUPRA Roadside Assistance (when service booked online)

There is no way all that has been done in the space of 30min! And why is Lookers prepared to do all that work for similar money and Perrys are not - sounds like a fraud to me. Maybe contact direct to Cupra is in order?

I think an email to Perrys Bolton is in order.

Just thought I’d add my 2p to this thread.
My 2022 Formentor 190 has just been in at Wolverhampton Cupra for its first Variable Service. It is two years old and has not yet had an oil change since new. Currently on 8k miles.
The price for the service, which included oil & filter plus pollen filter was £263.

The only reason I leave it on variable is because it’s a 36m lease, and I only want to service it once in its 3 year lease period! I’ve done it with all of my past SEATs and never had any issues.

Without trawling back through the thread I can't remember if I posted the cost, I took a 2 service plan for the second and third service on my Cupra 310 for £438, not great value, but still saves a few pounds against the standard price.

I note a brake fluid change was not included now checking around VW some say 2 years others 3 years I have always thought it should be every 2 years or 24k miles - so what is Cupra`s take on this if that is extra that would mean a cost on a Major service of £400 - £430!

VW brake fluid change intervals used to be the first one at 3 years then every two years thereafter. It changed within the last couple of years; now the first fluid change is at 2 years, then every two years after that.

With VW, the brake fluid change doesn’t form part of the standard service; it’s a separate chargeable item.

I went for the service plan and it’s £22 a month. They didn’t charge for the service as I set up.

Just had my second service, it did include the pollen filter - I know some manufactures try and claim it's not included. It was in the workshop just shy of 2 hours, they did send me a video of the inspection report and provided good documentation including a print out showing it has a full Cupra service history.

Cost £219 with the service plan, invoice showed £349 fully paid.
