Lowered on H&R 35 mm and I would say this is the best combo and performance on lowering springs I had in any car:
- All corners sit at same height (measured)
- Stiffness is just about right
- Looks great
- Usability is not compromised

Before you ask: 20" wheels, tire size is 245/35R20

Anyone here with 40-50mm lowering?
Whats the ride comfort going to be and what brand spring one might suggest?

Not sure how well DCC shocks will handle it. Shouldnt be an issue though.

----

Photoshopped about 20" alloys and 50mm lowering. Looks very tempting, but possibly a bit too low :).

If you want to go that low, coilovers is pretty much your only option and then you are looking at the KW DCC coilovers that cost a few thousands.

Coilovers for DCC are more like 3-4k. WOuld be nice, but rather steep.

Id probably like to achieve 40-50mm. On my photoshop, it might be more (its not perfect).
There are 30-50m (and all inbetween) springs for stock shocks and some users have used these over a year now.

Here is a reference image with 50mm lowering springs and stock shocks.

Yes, yes had the chance to buy used 50mm springs from another owner here but I thought it would be too big drop and compromise handling and comfort - I will try to find some photos of that car and put here.

Here you go - scroll to the older posts: those are 50mm drop with Vogtland springs on 20" wheels (loads of pics)

Thanks, great overview.
My photohop is too agressive, but gives rough idea :)

The owner of the matt blue car has driven this setup over a year and said the ride is good (in his opinion).

Anyway 35 looks still a lot better than stock

Yes, I am pretty happy with the 35mm

One of my challenges is that being in Finland I have to negotiate the snow trails and a very low car becomes a snow plough...
Also, I have a steep ramp to access my garage and the angle doesn't allow me to lower more without being unable to put the car in the garage in winter time.

But 50mm would definitely work better with coilovers - everyone I asked around told me the same.

In Estonia roads are even worse (although Lapland winters are something else).
I had Seat St300 before with maxton kit. This was cool snoplow.

Ill dig a bit deeper and make up my mind on the go. Not sure if Ill do it before spring anyway...
40mm is also an option, somewhat inbetween.

If you are in Estonia I would also seriously consider.

Had same car as you before too with Rieger splitter and even with stock height it broke the splitter twice hittinlg snow and ice, taking out a chunk.

Now.... A splitter is still cheaper to replace than a bumper or at least whatever Seat/Cupra are going to ask for the replacement plastic bottom parts in the bumper.

My Leon was slammed on H&R springs before I sold it but I never got to drive it in winter... I bet that I would have need to remove the Rieger splitter - I dig out some pics for you.

Here is the Leon in its final form before I traded it for the Formentor:

Leon is still a good looking car without software gremlins, although outdated in the interior.
I didnt get to lowering it though. Looks good.

There is one, possibly even better option.

KW height adjustable springs. 2x the regular springs price, but lets you adjust 25-40/30-45.
This is tiny bit less than 50 all round, but front seems to be a bit lower in stock anyway.

Talked to guys in dealership, and they have these on their personal and few clients formentors/atecas.

That is what I had in the Leon - Adjustable H&R springs... Kinda like coilover hybrid
