Been advised my car is currently going through production, due for August delivery.
1.5 V2 DSG Desire red, no further options ordered in 11 February 2022
I ordered a VZ2 e-hybrid (so similar spec) in July 2021 and I still haven't got a definite delivery date. Ordered ETA stock is currently 28 November 2022. But, apparently there is no build date set yet for the vehicle. So I can't see that date being honoured. Hopefully you will get some good news soon!Hey I ordered a Cupra Formentor VZ1 e-Hybrid 245 in White with no added extras in the first week of May 2022. It’s a lease from NHS Fleet Solutions. They quoted 6-10 months wait, earliest delivery may be October. I keep checking for updates and I still haven’t got a build week. I’ve been at status 00 for 2 months. Is this normal? How long have others waited for this model? Thanks
Did yours have the black headlining and 10” screen. Mine is bw 23 and I am wondering what it will turn up withMine was BW22 as well, picked it up yesterday, mind it was only a V2 with no extras, I think extras and models tend to play quite a part in delivery times?
Grey headlining, I'm assuming 10" screen ( Haven't measured it) but tbh I prefer the grey as it definitely lightens up the cabin?Did yours have the black headlining and 10” screen. Mine is bw 23 and I am wondering what it will turn up with
Thanks for letting me know. Yes really good point the lighter headlining is going to feel brighterGrey headlining, I'm assuming 10" screen ( Haven't measured it) but tbh I prefer the grey as it definitely lightens up the cabin?
It’s not unusual for cars to sit at the port of entry for a while, although almost two months from arrival in the UK to arrival at the dealership does sound longer than expected.New update from me.
July 5th arrived at UK port, now estimated to arrive at dealership on the 2nd September.
I expected to have a delay with the car, but that was in regards to the vehicle being made.
Not in regards going from port to dealership, does anyone know what would cause such a delay?
Thank you very much, for the detailed reply, it is very much appreciated. It’s not unusual for cars to sit at the port of entry for a while, although almost two months from arrival in the UK to arrival at the dealership does sound longer than expected.
Much - if not all - of any delay is likely to be down to the carrier(s) used by VAG / Seat. Factors that could impact on how soon vehicles are delivered from port to dealerships;
Additionally, it’s not unknown for vehicles to sustain damage in transit between leaving the factory and reaching the dealership (my current car was damaged!). Maybe there’s sufficient time built into the delivery timescales for any minor transit damage to be repaired prior to delivery to the customer.
- Availability of transporter vehicles and drivers.
- Logistics planning by the transport companies will mean that they’ll wait until they have enough vehicles for a full transporter for your dealer - or your dealer plus other dealers in the same area - before your vehicle is loaded and delivered.
- Transport companies may only deliver to specific dealers once or twice a month.
- August will traditionally be a busy time for delivery of vehicles to dealerships in time for September and the new registration plate. That might not be the case at present though, with supply chain issues and long lead times for customers after ordering a new vehicle.
Someone’s arse not knowing where their elbow is.New update from me.

Who told you this? I had asked my dealer (stockport) and he showed me the order screen indicating the build week and the model year. Would be a plus if getting the bigger screen.I have a build week of 22 but because of the chip shortage they were being changed to a my23
The reason for my delay has been confirmed as a puncture, so they are making a claim for that, so hopefully will be sorted soon. It’s not unusual for cars to sit at the port of entry for a while, although almost two months from arrival in the UK to arrival at the dealership does sound longer than expected.

Make sure you check your alloys very carefully for damage on collection day. Diamond cut alloys are very easily damaged when tyres are removed / fitted. Additionally, if the puncture was in a location on the tyre that meant it couldn’t be repaired (e.g. the sidewall), then make sure the replacement tyre is a like for like replacement and the same as the other tyres on the car.The reason for my delay has been confirmed as a puncture, so they are making a claim for that, so hopefully will be sorted soon.
