Still no build date for mine (or so I’m told) - ordered with Nationwide and I request an update every two weeks. Annoying that they don’t tell you what dealer the order through, as I’d pester the dealer myself :ROFLMAO:

I’ve booked BCA in to collect the Ateca late July, they were texting me every day to get it booked in! To be honest I can’t wait to get rid so even if my Formentor isn’t here, I’ll be glad to be rid of that 1.5!
they order through stockport cupra

I no guess I’d need an order number to track it though, which I don’t think they’ll give me :(
They should be able to track your order if you give them your name.

just blag it and tell them nationwide told you it was thru them

corporate sales only open monday. to friday though

When I ordered mine from Stockport I also had a price from Nationwide which was slightly cheaper and I'd asked Stockport to match. The guy said "are they really doing it for that price, I'm surprised as I supply the cars to them!". Not saying they're the sole supplier obviously.

Interesting. Every month the delivery date moves back by a month to four months away.
Are they 'managing expectations' by any chance?

Just had an update from my dealer with an estimated build week 42 which is middle of October, I had my order confirmed 8th of January. I ordered a 2.0 Tsi VZ1 in Graphene Grey with no extras, can't believe it could be at least 10 months to build a standard car 😔

Been following the forum for a while. Ordered a VZ2 2.0 TSI 190bhp DSG with beats option in dark camouflage mid December 2021 with original supply date April 2022.
That changed to May, then June. Last Monday was told early July, then Friday received a call to say the dealer had the car and collected it today!
Already done 90 miles, seems even better than the Ateca :)

I'm confused, I ordered the same car as you but in Met Grey and lots of chip loving options in April yet mine is on a ship two days away from the UK.
How does that work?

(unless I've been told porkies of course)

I think some suppliers (such as main dealers) are prioritised. I ordered a similar spec - 150 v2 DSG in blue and it arrived at the dealers on Monday. If you're using a lease company I guess it depends on where they source from.

I'm not sure if the dealership can prioritize the orders they put in, but if so then I'd imagine they'll prioritize their direct customers over those going through a lease company.

I just found out my early April ordered V2 190 has a build date of 1st September. Disappointed is an understatement since it was given with a “July” delivery date back in April. I’m now tempted to switch to an “in stock” V2 150 DSG as I need a car mid July, but I’m concerned by the power output.
I currently have an Ateca 1.5 manual with a 0-60 of 8.5s and can feel this lacking sometimes. The Formentor advertises 8.9s to 60.
How is everyone finding their 1.5s??

Pre pandemic , dealers would have a certain number of build slots allocated to them per month. Once the build slots were used up, then the orders would slip onto the following months allocation.

Busy dealerships would have more build slots available to them.

i imagine dealerships supplying lease company’s would have a lot of orders so the orders would span several months allocation hence we see some lease customers waiting several months and other direct customers at other dealers waiting a few months.

i ordered a lease direct from dealership. my eta from order to delivery is looking like 16 weeks. (was told 8-10 at point of ordering )
Opted for v2 150 as the more powerful engines had a longer wait time and i needed a car asap.

All dealers i phoned around time of me ordering had stock cars they had ordered available to them at rrp. if i wanted discounted deal then i needed to wait n submit a fresh order.

i was similar to you. wanted the 190 but build times were too long. test drove the 150 and it seemed spritely enough around town. Currently driving a bmw 420i which is more of a cruiser than performance oriented.

I live in Portugal and ordered a hybrid on December 28th. In early march we decided to change the colour which Cupra accepted. Today, I find that we have no build date and and end of year delivery at best, and they are blaming the colour change! As it happens I have sourced an alternative that has just arrived in stock at another dealer, but it will cost me more, but I'm not prepared to wait another 6 months. Should have it within the next week or so!!

Go ahead and get whats available now, waiting time kills. I wanted to get the 190 hp awd but had a waiting time of at least 8 months so asking what was available at the time and in midnight black , lucky me there was a 310 being built at the time and in less than 6 weeks later I was handed the keys. Best decision ever made!
