adding maps in virtual cockpit

Dear all,

i am asking how i can add maps in my leon 2020 MK3 virtual cockpit please by coding ?
i tried to make a long press on the button but nothing happened as i think there is no compass in my car due to my country in Egypt,
so can someone help me and provide the coding for it and let me know how i can activate it please.

open the navigation on the radio and click the map flip icon on the top left. In the case of the MIB2 standard unit, you can display the map on a virtual cockpit or on the radio (at the same time it is impossible)
while on the virtual cockpit you have to click the arrows (those on the right on the steering wheel) to change the view to the map

Same time on both screens is only possible with the Nav high units.

Having just moved to a BMW where you can have both at the same time, I find it over rated. One is enough on the central dash combined with directions on the VC.

I know that I only explained how to switch the map display from the radio to vc because I think he asked about it

Sorry I mis-read and thought you'd put possible, not impossible...

I guess that there are two different issues here:

i) is the dash/nav/infotainment hardware configuration able to perform the function and correctly coded?
ii) if correctly coded, the above method for transferring nav display from infotainment to digital dash is above (picture below with the icon required on infotainment screen).

Possible to have nav displayed on both infotainment/dash at the same time if you spoof the system via CarPlay etc. Turn on ignition with nav displayed on dash, then plug in phone so Google maps/Waze etc is comes up on the infotainment screen.

Just to double check, you have the Optical cable setup between the Glovebox unit and VC?

please find my attached picture as it shows my infotainment system model and info,

i tried to move maps to virtual cockpit but again i could not, i think i dont have a navigation built in, and i want to know if there is any code i can do so i can activate it ???

This information isn't any use. We need to see the system part number

If your unit doesn't have navigation,then you can't have navigation on the instrument cluster without changing it

Is the cockpit factory fit or retrofitted?

all of them are factory fit, my virtual cockpit is factory fit, but I found many people activating it with coding but I don’t have any idea if they add maybe the navigation hardware to fit in the system.

You need a navigation unit to have navigation

Go to settings, system information & take a picture. Part number will start with 5F or 5Q
