Another picture of the exhausts closer up. I was worried the would look a bit lost when ordering, they are bigger than the 310s quad tips

Can you please tell me if the suspension is comfortable? Also your impressions from the car?

Thank you

I've come from an R56 Mini Cooper S that I run alongside the Formentor. The VZ1 245 comes with adaptive dampers so in Comfort Mode the car flows with the road and deals with any potholes/undulations with ease. In Cupra mode the ride does firm up quiet a bit and you can feel a lot of the minor imperfections in the road. However, the bucket seats are extremely comfortable and have great support and hold you in place when pushing on. Haven't had much issues with traction, only have had a few instances where the wheels spin when coming out of a junction quickly when wet. However, the car has a VAQ differential on the front so quickly sorts out traction when the wheels start to slip. You can also feel the diff working when accelerating quickly into a corner- was a strange experience at first.

The engine is a real highlight of the car. It's docile and quiet when you want it to be, it can really shift the car when you want it to. I don't have any regrets not going for the 310, as the power on tap is usable and more than enough for the public roads. As you soon get to the speed limit when giving it a burst of acceleration. Also you feel that you are going slower than you actually are, as the car is refined and very stable.

MPG is something that seems to improve each tank. I've had the car for 2 months now and have done 2000 miles. At first the MPG wasn't great but after about 1500 miles it's steadily been improving. Round town I seem to get in the early 30s. Motorway it's easy to get 40+ once the engine has got to operating temperature. My commute is 25 miles each way with about 22 miles motorway and 3 miles stop/start low speed driving and I get around 45-47mpg round trip. My best so far going to work has been 52mpg that's by cruising at 65mph with no traffic. I get around 400 miles from a tank. My last full tank calculation was 40mpg which is impressive for a 2L turbo car had done 375 miles before the car asked to be refilled and still indicated 50 miles left.

Nice review

I'm thinking about a 150cv TSI DSG or 245cv TSI DSG.
At the moment I own an R56 Mini JCW, where I'm going around 7l/100km :D (yes, I'm not pushing the car). It looks like that the 245cv consumption will be around ~ 7.5L/km up to 9.5l/km (by looking at this thread), that's correct?

And what about the sound? The car is too loud? We can barely hear it? Any video or something like that? My point is, I had pops & bangs and more stuff in the JCW but now I don't want it anymore (getting old) :ROFLMAO:

I appreciate your input. Thanks

Sorry I've just seen your post!

I did test drive the 150 TSI manual and it seemed nice to drive but only drove it around town. I ordered the VZ1 245 as at the time of ordering it was only £20 pm more expensive!

I get about 6.5-7L/100km average from my Cooper S depends how I drive it, but I do find it really economical when on a cruise. Yes tend to get about (9.4L/100KM) 30MPG around town, but can be lower in stop start town traffic/when the engine is cold. On the motorway I can easily get over 40+ MPG (7L/100KM). My long term average over the past 1000 miles is 39.8MPG (7.1L/100KM) but I do more motorway than town driving :)

The car isn't too loud, you can hear the exhaust inside the car when on a move but it's no where near as loud as the R56 as it's a lot more refined. The car does pop and bang in Cupra mode but compared to the R56 it's no where near as loud- you can't hear it at all inside hardly. I would definitely recommend it!

@Splosho do you have any video or link that shows it?

do the "Black part-PVC part-cloth PVC bucket seats" for the VZ1 trim come with electric adjustment for the driver's seat?

Also, does anyone have any real-life pictures of these seats, as I can only find the full leather seats in every single google image search and youtube review?

Hi, the seats don’t have electric adjustment on the VZ1 they’re manual

these "cloth" seats look very "leathery" to me (which is a good thing) 😅
and the middle part looks like alcantara! is that right or is it just the picture?

Here are some better pictures! It's basically fake leather covering the majority, with fabric in the centre. There is a small strip of suede/alcantara in the middle of the seats :)
