Today I replaced my dumb manual climate control with the automatic one. Took about 30 minutes to install, change some pins and do the VCDS stuff. Of course it's not a dual zone climate, because retrofitting dual zone would be a real mess and also would cost a lot as you need to change almost everything related to climate under the dashboard.
I am pretty happy with my accomplishment as it was my first retrofit experience. Next in list for my Style Leon is Seat Sound, 8 inch screen and maybe virtual cockpit.

If anyone will be interested, I can prepare some instructions. Cost me 30 GBP.

It could be retrofited as well. You just need an additional cable and few minutes in VCDS. But I dont really need those buttons as I dont have a front parking sensors and driving modes are not really useful for 1.6 tdi.

Definitely interested in this as well as activating drive modes too. Would you mind posting instructions and links please? cheers.

Forum member @WEZANGO hasn’t been active on the forum for over a year (they last visited September 2021), so it’s unlikely they’ll reply to your post.
I think there is a how to in the relevant section of the forum.
But I have to say it's a shame some people just come on here, make a post saying they've done this & that. And then just disappear. Not much can be done as there could be many genuine reasons for that.

And while I'm having a rant :) . It's disappointing to see how many queries go unanswered. It's not always the case of a member not checking to see if their query has already been answered elsewhere in the forum. I have used the search tool. And spent ages going through dozens of links without finding the answers I was after. And it shouldn't be assumed by someone with the relevant experience that it's not worth their time answering the question. What seems like a simple job to one person. Might not be so obvious to someone else

I'm just generalising here, but I've always found that the "search" function in any forum that I've visited is not very/too useful, and that might answer why many people create new threads on very similar/same topics unintentionally, some forums, including maybe this one, offer suggestions when creating a new thread, in a bid to avoid this, but by then "you" have typically made your mind up about what you are about to do - so really not in a frame of mind to swerve away from creating an almost duplicate thread.
I'm saying this hopefully in a positive way as I'm not smart enough to be able to define how to configure "search" to avoid this happening., just something that forum users have to live with, that is all.

Edit:- Searching using Google seems to be able to solve that problem better than forum "search" functions - and then posting into the most appropriate forum-thread.
