Hi Folks, this OTA update popped up this morning, I'm currently on 1804. Is this the often talked about 1896, now OTA version which reading the blurb seems to be in a couple of stages, renders voice recognition unavailable until 24 hours later following a sequential update.

Just looking for any other users experience, I'm pleased to say (so far) I've had no issues with 1804 and don't want to introduce some  .

Is this the UK mate?

I'm in Spain and I've had three updates this week but nothing with a pop up like that.

Mine wanted to do a small update today as already in 1896 but seems to be stuck as not moved for ages.

Yes UK. I've had two other previous OTA updates in the last week or so, the second took about 15 minutes to install - but difficult to monitor when driving and the update only continues when stationary. These were minor updates and still stayed on 1804.

So you were 1804 going into them?

Collected the car on 1804 and despite probably 6 x OTA updates remained on 1804. That's where other software updates differ could be 1804.1 or 1804.2 etc. but there's probably some technical reason for remaining "1804".

My car (22MY Cupra Leon) just did this update too. Think it might be the "big" one as the software is quite different.
Is that just the first one (of a couple the message says, the next one coming 24 hours later) and how long did it take?

Just the first one I think. It hasn't popped up with a second yet.

Think it took about 30mins but it did it while the car was parked and locked so not sure exactly.

My phone didn't tell me but I went to the car about an hour later and it was done.

I can confirm mines changed for 1804 to A896 and now says Clima at the top middle.
Does anyone actually know the fixes these updates do from say the first version? Is their a official thread on what the update versions provide?

Popped out to the shop earlier and it started downloading stage 2. Running now so I'll pop out to the car in a bit to see what's changed...

Downloaded the 3.4GB and when parked up at a restaurant for a meal the display told me to switch off the engine and lock the car for the update to install. After the meal I first noticed "Clima"...and its 1st update to A896. The intro (tuition screen) gave some pointers but I don't know if its any different to 1804. It did show you can slide the screen temperature on the infotainment screen, not sure if it did that before.

Think you can do that on mine, I'm running 1890 at the moment, car was built mid March.
