Have you had your infotainment system updated? this should have been fixed with the recent releases.CUPRA formentor
I have had my formentor hybrid since September 1st 2021, I have had a problem with my screen on the consul with it going purple on the screen, which then you can’t do anything with the screen( but have found that if you hold the on/off button for between 10/15 seconds and it reboots.
but I am still having an issue with connectivity with the SOS button coming on. Then you can’t do anything with the consul at all, it stays on screen saying connecting . You can’t listen to radio or anything. It’s now been in the garage 3 times , it’s quite frustrating I’m now starting to lose faith in this car, if it goes in once more I may ask for it to be changed.
Nothing parts wise actually comes from Beats, the speakers are used in several models & the amplifier is the same 12 channel used for Harmon Kardon in the golf (Beats only uses 10 channels). The only bit that's actually from beats is the sound dataset and perhaps the beats badges on the A pillarsThe Beats audio system will be the Achilles heel here! It is currently removed as a spec'd option as Beats are unable to supply. The Beats audio system uses a lot of DSP (Digital Sound Processing) and this is where there is a big shortage currently.
Whether the parts come from Beats or not really doesn't matter. The issue is a shortage of DSP chips which is what all these upgraded sound systems require. Whether its Beats, HK, Burmester, Bose etc. Whoever manufactures the amps for these systems is going to find it difficult. I know as I work in the audio industry and its all pretty dire when it comes to audio processing chips currently.Nothing parts wise actually comes from Beats, the speakers are used in several models & the amplifier is the same 12 channel used for Harmon Kardon in the golf (Beats only uses 10 channels). It's worth holding out for as the non Beats system isn't fantastic, and it's extremely expensive to retrofit at the moment
When I spoke to the dealer yesterday, he said it’s just the chip issue but certain options are causing the longer delays. So I’m assuming there’s a shortage of other parts.I am in NZ and have been told my order for a VZ310 (with pano roof) can be fulfilled in July (ordered December) but will not come with Top View camera or automatic boot... I have the option to reorder with expected delivery in September for full spec. Luckily I already have a VZ in Dark Camo (without sunroof) so think I will wait but it 6 months realistic given the chip shortage? Thoughts? I see some people have been told 2023 for top view camera?
how did you sell the c class? I’ve got to sell my Audi TTS before I collect my formentor.I also ordered a 1.5 V2 DSG (Asphalt Blue) from Stockport on 24/02. Was told 8-10 weeks, latest update I had was build week 20, so that'll be about 12 weeks. Hopefully won't be any longer than that as I've got rid of my old car now (Merc c300d) and an currently driving my wife's 68 plate qashqai until mine arrives (she's got a new rav4)! Decided to sell the Merc whilst prices were high. It was on a 4 year PCP sold it after 29 months and made 4 grand on it.
that’s brilliant. i was tempted by pcp this time round just cos the fact that used prices so high just now but knowing my luck they will crash in a year or two so just opted for pch.I also ordered a 1.5 V2 DSG (Asphalt Blue) from Stockport on 24/02. Direct to a main Mercedes dealership. Having gone through the hassles of selling private previously, I vowed never again. Plus I didn't have the free cash to buy out the remaining PCP and didn't want to mess around with a loan to do that (not allowed to use a credit card). Dealership was the best offer by about £1000 over at least 8 other local "specialist" places I tried. Really easy to do, cash in my bank account within a few days, and they settled the remaining PCP. Obviously could probably got a couple more k private, but didn't want the stress of it.how did you sell the c class? I’ve got to sell my Audi TTS before I collect my formentor.
Thanks for getting back to me & I agree with you it’s such a hassle to sell privately, I’ll give Audi a try & see what they offerDirect to a main Mercedes dealership. It very much depends on the model and the extras you may have ordered for the vehicle. There seem to be cases where people are receiving their orders quite quickly and others, like me, who have had to wait a long time. There are now two threads on this topic and the other thread has been going for some time and there is a lot of info there. The other thread is:How long does it generally take from order to get an estimated build/delivery date?
Dealer verbally told me 12-18 weeks on my V2. Had order confirmation yesterday after signing the paperwork.
Thanks.
Just so you are aware, things that are causing current delays in delivery are: Top-View camera, Beats audio system & Virtual pedal. If you have these options then you are looking at approx an extra 12 weeks on your lead time.It very much depends on the model and the extras you may have ordered for the vehicle. When did you order, when is it arriving?
Stockport had a stock asphalt blue V2 on its way from port to dealer this week! I had my name on it but switched to the 310. Perhaps its still available and you could take that one instead!?I also ordered a 1.5 V2 DSG (Asphalt Blue) from Stockport on 24/02.
