Hi. Ordered my hybrid formentor V2 in Red around March 25th from Barlow Motors. Been told expect 12 months delivery time. I just wanted to know if anyone else ordered a hybrid and got it sooner than expected? Quite excited to get it. Thanks

Barlow Motors, local to me. 4 of my last SEATs from there.

I had a Tiguan R-Line Hybrid on order (lease company placed the order Oct 21) but I’d still not got a build date so I cancelled and ordered a Formentor V2 190. I’d seen a few articles citing VW couldn’t guarantee cars would be with us this year even. It seems the hybrids are worst affected for some reason, coupled with the new recall for battery issues (fire risk?) - then I can see why the lead times are currently 12+m!

Thanks FR2013. I brought my current Seat Ateca from Barlow motors 3 years ago. I managed to get a good deal on a hybrid formentor and got a deal before the VW group slapped the April price increase. My PCP ends in march next year and my car is worth a lot more than I was expecting so makes sense to upgrade while the prices is good. But the wait is long which is a shame. Doesn't sound seem like I will get it this year.

Artical you linked was interesting. Ordered mine after the date and it only mentions specific VW cars rather than the group. Wishful thinking.

Carwow been really good, I would recommend them, Maidstone sent me an offer through carwow, & then I’ve dealt with the dealer direct since the test drive & carwow got me an extra £800 off the price.

Hi Daniel. Does your car come sooner with carwow/Hendy I did used carwow at first and did get similar 800 off. But when I went to showroom in Birmingham the APR was higher so although price of car was cheaper. Monthly payments were high. In the end went to Barlow motors and got a better deal with lower APR on a PCP. I'm paying nearly £60 less a month for the same spec car. Actually because I got a deal I added Red paint rather than White which was free. I called dealer this morning and no build date for the car which suck. Bit inpatient.

As far as I’m aware ordering through carwow doesn’t speed up the deliver, I know cupra in hartfield are quoting 12- 14 week lead time for non - hybrids without any options, I know certain options are causing delays due to the chip shortage.

Guess I will be waiting 12 months for my car. I think I'd want something else by then. I didn't have any options apart from red paint so hope that helps.

Stoke were quoting july delivery for non hybrid cars. hybrids were 12m+. the rest of the vag group look to have stopped taking orders for hybrid cars.

kia sportage hybrids was being quoted 4-6 weeks 2 months ago, is also now 10m+. A lot of parts coming from ukraine

@Daniel. I been looking at auto trader. No hybrids nationally and I don't think I can swindle a good PCP rate now. I will wait.

No mine was the VZ2 310 petrol. I was originally told May so was a surprise when it turned up at the dealership a couple of weeks ago!
