Some insider info I've found, normal seat Leon hybrids are expect q2 2023 if you order now.

Apparently, the cupra Leon none hybrids, if ordered late last year, should be built around September time.

That's insane - so another 9 months of waiting with no movement?!

Interesting article on the BBC website today about the impact of ongoing semiconductor supply shortages on the motor industry. Primarily focused on Toyota, the article does mention that VW hasn’t managed supply shortages as well as Toyota - it’s not clear whether reference to VW means just VW or also includes the other brands within VAG.

To put current Seat / Cupra lead times into some sort of perspective - the article mentions that customers ordering a new Toyota Land Cruiser are in for a four year wait! 😮

Wow... I really don't know if I can wait that long. My current lease is now rolling and I'm gonna be well over the milage.

Hi guys,

So today I got the below from my dealer (oi Er)

Ordered Seat Leon FR ST in August it l'll be on a lease.

"I have just had the latest production update and Leon is showing early next year now,

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if your car didn’t turn up until at least the end of this year"

So yeah, not good, popped into my local kia on the way home, looked at a Sportage, available March / April, but about 50-60 quid a month more, which I just can't stretch too unfortunately. But will be looking at stock deals etc I think.

Gonna have to extend it again no doubt but its difficult when you don't know how long for !

Mine was ordered mid june according to leasing options.
When i extended my current car they asked for an expected mileage and as i hadn't done as many miles as per my lease ended up paying £50 less a month.
I know sometimes if you arrange extra miles before you go over most of the time you'll pay less.

I ordered first week in October, graphene gray VZ3 hatch with M pack through UK Carline, another update today to say…no update…

What confused me is that they said it might be April, but seeing some others of you here still waiting for a build week after ordering much earlier than me doesn’t fill me with any sort of confidence

Current lease is supposed to go back in March so I’ll just have to hope they will let me have a rolling contract for the next 2 years of waiting, either that or I’ll see how much it is to purchase and keep it for another few years

Is this for a VZ3 300? In which case you and I have ordered the exact same car - mine was September 4th.. no build date as of yet...

Well. I ordered mine in March/April 2021, with a delivery expected Sept 21. Its now Feb 22 and am told it should arrrive at the dealer in week 13 (end march). I do hope ot arrives soon as the company car rules may change in Germany and ill be left having to pay more for the car. I have been fortunate that the dealer has supplied me with a range of cars to use since Sept (at no cost).

Not sure if there's any truth to this but some on a Facebook Group I'm part of has just said this - "Had a call from my dealer today. They have had a PR video stating that everyone with an order last year will get a build week allocated by the end of the first 1/4. So we should be getting a build date by the end of the month.."

Like I said not sure if there's any truth so take it with a pinch of salt, clinging onto anything that sounds promising at the mo! :ROFLMAO:

A colleague from the Formentor forum has created an Excel spreadsheet that can help us to track the current statuses of the orders. Feel free to leave information about your status. I think it would be helpful for everyone.

310 Leon ST , order from 11 August. While ordering I received the delivery date no later than 31st March. But it was said that they expect to get a car earlier(Jan-Feb).
Today I contacted my dealer via email and asked about the status. As it turned out they still have no information / any status update.

When was the last time you guys have seen someone receiving their Cupra Leon that's been freshly produced and not available on dealer stock? I'm browsing through Facebook groups and threads on this forum and I think the production is suspended at the moment?

Here in PL most of the people that had orders for Seat Leon in place since last year has just been told that their orders are shifted to 2023. Rumour says that PL is getting only 600 of Seat Leons this year. Cupras should not be affected, but I haven't seen a new Leon for a couple of months now.
